Hello,

I wanted to know if adding so many category/page/post links (about 35 pages) to the menu bar in order to pass link juice is good or bad for SEO??

I'm talking about custom links, not the main category.

For ex: www.example.com/best-phones-under-10000-dollars.

I have added posts like these of 30-35 to the menu bar in order get link juice. Is it bad ?

      LOL. That's actually an example.

      "www.example.com" domain doesn't exist.

The problem with that is that the more links that show up on a page, the weaker each link is. So you just weakened the internal link structure on your entire site.

Okay, i get that. So do you recommend removing the 60% of links from the menu bar and add it in related content pages manually?

Don't structure your site like that unless you have a single category and in that case the Home page would be the only main category page.

    Do this...
    • hxxp://example.com/smart-phones/best-phones-under-10000-dollars

...and then silo the links for that one category and repeat the same structure for additional categories as needed.

This way (SEO silo), you'll have fewer better focused links (category links) on the Home page nav.

    • hxxp://example.com
      • hxxp://example.com/smart-phones
        • hxxp://example.com/smart-phones/best-green-phones-under-100-dollars
        • hxxp://example.com/smart-phones/best-green-phones-under-200-dollars
        • hxxp://example.com/smart-phones/best-green-phones-under-300-dollars
        • etc...

Thank you so much for kind help. This explanation is for the homepage nav, right?

I actually used the other structure because it is related to the "best-selling" guide. I'm confusing on best-selling list AND price comparison list as well. So there are basically two different page types.

However, i think changing the permalink would drop my ranking (as few of them are ranking at 1st position, i don't want to disturb them).
