    If you create videos on YouTube that get pop, sure you can land on page 1 of an All search, or on a Video search. Definitely works but it takes some skills, time, patience and you want to build your friend network too, to expand your reach.

    No it doesn't help in ranking but in traffic it can be very helpful if you got heavy no. Of views on your youtube video. After if you get traffic on your website Google will automatically increase your website ranking.

    Actually you can rank your videos on YouTube. But in SE Rankings it may not be helpful in providing a web-page's rank. Depending on the keywords you target and their competitions your video may come up in search engine's result page.

    There's no need to do any other tasks just focus to rank on YouTube it will be more helpful in generating traffic & brand identity if done right. I suggest.
