OK, so imagine I own www.domain.com and I build loads of great quality inbound links to it.

I then decide that I don't like the name so I use a 301 redirect to point to www.second-domain.com.

If I run a link report on www.second-domain.com would I see the incoming links pointing to www.domain.com?

The search engines say they pass the linkjuice on if you use a 301 redirect, but does this hide it aswell from competitors? Is it possible to detect this?

I'm not sure about this one, but I sure wouldn't feel confident in everything working the way it should. I hate doing stuff that I go back and say "well maybe my problem was doing this" and not really knowing.

Yes... Check Page Rank! detects PR fraud. Also, when you put the domain in google it usually shows the first as result.

I am not talking about PR fraud. This is a legitamte practise, but if the links don't show in links report on new domain then it can make keywords look easier to achieve than they really are.
