In one of my websites,
I have optimized the home page with keywords.
When checked the website's indexed status with sitewebsite url) it shows website name as title tag.
If I searched with keywords, then keyword which I have optimized in the website's title tag appears as a title
Why is it showing website name when checking for website index?
#title #website

Assuming it is the same page that Google is providing for both types of searches, what you need to understand is that Google does not have to use the title tag that you suggest. They can use whatever they want, often using words from your page if they think that those words match the searcher's intent better. In one instance, you are searching for a domain name, so it would make sense that they might want to use your domain name in the title of a search listing instead of what you provided in your title tag. In the other instance, you are searching for a keyword phrase and the title tag you created is a better match for that phrase.

Thank you for your reply. Not when I am searching for the domain name it showing my company name. Whenever I am checking for website's index status ( site : website url) it's showing the company name.

I will also say... google is downplaying the involvement of keywords for the sake of quality content... seo as a strategy has to be based around quality content.... key words are good but in the context of the copy and meta descriptions are about ctr

You are quite mixed up, and that's part of the problem.

Google does not show anything as the title tag except....*shock* the title tag.

They couldn't even if they wanted to.

They do pick whatever they want to display in search results.....

as the title, or first words, of THAT search entry.

It depends on a lot of things, like:

The searcher, context, location, news, time of day, flora....fauna....
And doing a search for domain.com as opposed to keywords for the site.

Why would they not show differently? Makes all the sense in the world, especially to the searcher.

And yes, sometimes settings on your server or other website peculiarities, like a ridiculous title tag as the googlebot sees it. (too long, too short, too many picked up keywords, etc.)

You cannot force google to do anything. They might index your page, then not come back for ages. Or worse, not care what they scrape.

If this is a Wordpress site, you should look at the setting of the site again. Then you should install SEO Yoast to see what is the parameter you setup for the title tag.
