Hi All,
Im looking for some advice / help please.

Just in process of setting up an SEO company for my son to run.

Is there any courses or books that will give the whole picture on how to set up and run a successful SEO agency?

A step by step system so we know we have everything covered ready for new clients.

Things like
Website wording, how to get clients, tips tricks to getting clients, ideas for free stuff to give away to potential new clients, best keyword tool, being a google partner is it worth it, how to do it,

We will be outsourcing the work for the clients we get

Any help would be great

Thanks
Karl

Do you - or your son - know how to 'do' SEO? Or are you depending on outsourcers to do what's best for your clients?

Usually don't recommend anything specific but if you are serious about it, check out Gabriel's (head of the WF) offer to WF members....

I think you are beyond help. Seriously.....

I'm going to set up a lawyer office for my dog.

I will outsource all work to people claiming to be lawyers.

Any books or people I can contact to learn how to do this?

I can't help but be successful.

Not sure if its sarcastic or rude, but i wont let it bother me. I thought this was a forum to ask questions/ advice/ interact with people...... myself and my son are by no means experts but we have an expert at SEO ready to deal with our new clients. I just wanted advice on the overall business side of things. But if im beyond help then i suppose its all pointless, i may as well not even try!!!

Have you or your son run ever run a business that uses SEO heavily? What is your base knowledge?

My knowledge is basic on SEO but very good on business. My sons knowledge is intermediate on SEO. I have an SEO expert that will be carrying out the technical stuff, and we have others we can use if needed, so its just the business side of things i was looking to cover..

I think you should take the Agency Immersion course by Lion Zeal.

I guess the question that paulgl should have posed (and much more diplomatically) is, if you do not know how to do SEO, yourself, how can you be so sure that the person that you intend to use who claims to be an SEO expert actually is?

    Hi Karl,

I am not kidding but the silly post *and* reaction are excellent training for your new agency LOL. No joke; when you are up and running, especially being in SEO, many clients want immediate, 100% unrealistic results, and will react wildly in their fear, just like the cat posting above. Take one deep breath. Then 2. Breathe in the pain-fear, and breathe it out. Good training I tell ya for running your own business. Or, for setting one up for your son, with you and he working on it.

As for SEO it so helps to have an passion for it and a deeper understanding. Even if you outsource to a pro's pro, and will handle the business side of things, it does help because you enjoy working the business and know what is going on with your expert, and if they really know their stuff.

A few thoughts to help ease your journey buddy.
