Hello,
I'm launching my website and about to pour it with some premium detailed content but i am bit confused to put keywords in h1, h2 or so on.

Is there any SEO expert can help me to explain if it's necessary to use keywords in h1 for SEO point of view? PLEASE!

Warmest Regards,
Online4cash!
#keywords #tag
  • By reading your question I am assuming that you are asking only about h1 tags. First of all, let me tell you one thing that using a keyword in an h1 tag is not any hard and fast rule, using a keyword in h1 tag help crawlers understand better what the page is all about. But If you don't use a keyword in your h1, then Google can still find out what the page is about, index it appropriately, and give you a nice rank.

But why leave out the opportunity to give Google all of the information it needs. So I would suggest you use a long tail keywords in your h1 tag it will be beneficial for you.

  • When using keywords, focus on the title, H1, meta description and in your content.

Just make sure you don't overdo it and don't be afraid to use long tail keywords when needed.

But most of all, focus on writing content that gives VALUE. Your SEO is't going to be effective if your readers think the stuff you put out there is crap. Quality first, then do SEO.

    Hi there,
Search engines keep an eye on the words in your heading tags, especially the H1 tag, as search engines assume that headings include clues to the page's chief topics. You clearly want to have a keyword inside the H1 tag.

It is not going to make an earth-shattering difference for how you rank but yes, using sensible H1 tags (and other lesser H2 tags, where appropriate) on your pages makes them more "readable" for both humans and algorithms.

    Hey,
The heading tag <h1> is the main tag of every website. It is mostly used as the title of every post or website. For example, we have a website name as "Digital marketing" so the <h1> would be "Digital marketing services/ Digital marketing". There are also many other tags such as <h2>, <h3>, <h4>, <h5>, <h6>.

Because it is helps the search engines evaluate the relevance of content.
The bot sees keyword in title, then in h1, then in text (or alt tag). Is it about x? oh, yeah

H1 tag is a good indicator of what the most important text on a page is. Keeping your keywords early in the title and heading tags means you are telling them that you have relevancy.

The H1 tag generally is the largest text that stands out and in the top of the hierarchy of tags found on a page. It is really very important because the user can see at a glance what the page is all about by looking at the H1 tag.

One of the most complex tasks of search engines is to understand the meaning or context of the page. To do that in the most efficient and best way, they use data from different signals. These signals include page title and H1 tag.

So, by using keywords in your H1 tag, you help search engines to understand what your page is all about.

    Hope this helps!!

H1 tag is predominant text on a page. One of the vital difficult duties of engines like google is to comprehend the meaning or context of the page. To do this in essentially the most effective and fine manner, they use information from one of a kind alerts. These indicators comprise web page title and H1 tag.

The H1 tag customarily is the biggest textual content that stands out and in the highest of the hierarchy of tags observed on a web page. It's relatively very predominant seeing that the user can see at a glance what the web page is all about by watching at the H1 tag.

<h1> name is Header One! </h1>
H1s have always been a major ranking factor.
H1s are usually the most visually notable content on the page.
This is probably the most important SEO feature of h1s. And at first, it might not seem like an "SEO" feature.
    Use only one h1.
Every page needs only 1 h1 tag. There is no reason to use more than a single h1 tag.
Search engines will crawl multiple H1s on a page, sure, but the logical priority of an H1 semantic tag means that you're focusing your SEO efforts on one keyword phrase or sentence, as opposed to many.

    Here is your problem.
You more care about SEO than about your visitors, the one
who are going to run away from your site, as I do, every time
some webmaster is shouting at me with H1 or H2 styles.

h1 is not a major factor in 2018.

In fact, you don't even need one.

h1, h2, etc. are becoming old fashioned with css and inline style.

Since you can sculpt the size and colors, and wannabes were going ape, it's just about done and done.

Yes, from time to time I try and tell you how to keep up...but few will listen. So the sarcasm will run deeper.

These headings are going the way of blink, bold, meta description, meta keywords, etc.

It seems some webmasters, and I use that term loosely, are just stuck.

They don't read. They don't keep up. They just keep rehashing rehashed worn out socks.

Look at the answers above. Completely clueless in 2018.

You people probably are the ones at the swap meets....frantically looking for vhs tapes.

Okay, here's the last 2018 reality check here.

To reiterate, h1 is rapidly losing its lustre....and....

That brings us to what you should be using: strong.

Do you realize that H1 and other tags has been around for 30+ years before
what you're calling SEO, better yet before Search Engines, about 10 years
before Google, at least 5 years before SE like AltaVista, Lycos, Crawler etc?

Right, that would be the case when in order to separate title, subtitle, topic etc.
from principal text, you would have to use H1, H2 and so on.

In old time, probably before your first poop, before Windows, mouse in order to
get piece of text people would use keyboard to type whatever they need using
      the following format.

      <h1>Warrior Forum</h1>
      <h2>Search Engine Optimization</h2>
      <h3>Keywords in H1 tag</h3>
      <h5>Your Post</h5>

      <h1>Warrior Forum</h1>
      <h2>Search Engine Optimization</h2>
      <h3>Keywords in H1 tag</h3>
      <h5>Your Post</h5>

So, when you're using H1 all is what you're doing, telling browsers how to
display your page and nothing else. As far as Algo, I'm sure it ignores tags
and care more about content in between them.

Their h1 could blend with normal text....and they think they are shmoozing google.

H1 is your main headline tag or called the title tag which helps the spider to understand your web content. So using your main keyword in the title tag is necessary. H2 tags make the subheadings so you can use LSI or related keywords in your H2 to make it more meaningful.

The h1 tag indicates the heading on a website and this tag is always been a major ranking factor. This is also the first thing user/visitor notice on your website. h1 tags help search engines to understand what the content is all about. Just make sure you use only ONE h1 tag on each web page as more than one h1 tags may confuse search engines and dilute the SEO power of single h1. We usually use h1 tag for Web page/blog title.

I don't think Google considers whether you have a keyword in headings or not since it can actually understand the context; but if you have long read, I'd recommend structuring it with some headings (don't overdo though). IMHO it will be only a plus if they contain a keyword reflecting the essence of the following block, so when people scan through your text they can find things they need.

You need to have your main keyword in the H1 tags and related keywords in the other heading tags (H2, H3, etc). They very much help i SEO and boost your SERP rankings if done justly. Heading tags are the On-page SEO technique.
Heading tags are the HTML tags, there are 6 Heading tags in the HTML, you can use it H1 to H6, which can be used for a divide of the content.
you can add your primary keywords in the Heading tags.
H1 tag should be used once in the content, it is the main paragraph of the content. after that you can use H2 to H6 tags, they all are the small paragraphs.
heading tags helps to understand better of content to the Search engine.
H2 tag should be used 3 to 4 times in the content.
