2 websites, 1 business

Hey there. I work at an SEO company that has been around for nearly 10 years now.

In the last 6 months, our website has dropped to the 2nd page in ranking for our bread and butter keywords/location. Although there are 1 or 2 mainstays in the rankings, it does seem Google is favoring flight by night companies that we've never heard of right now.

There is nothing particularly spammy or bad about our website (though it is admittedly a bit outdated), and we are growing rather impatient waiting for our rankings to return.

So in the meantime, we are considering building a 2nd website that could potentially join the list of fly by night sites that are appearing on page 1 and run with that until our primary website returns to its former glory.

If anyone with experience in doing something along these lines could give some advice/pointers, it would be appreciated. Is it even possible to rank two websites that share a common address, phone number, etc.? What would you recommend?

Alternatively, if someone was interested in looking at our primary website to help us figure out what's causing our rankings issues and how we can return to page 1, we can possibly skip the whole 2nd website plan. I'll be happy to divulge more info in PMs.

The alternatively should be your first option.

But it does not mean you cannot / should not build another website.

Maybe if you PM me or some other experts you may get a more custom-tailored advice for your next strategies.

    Hey,
It basically depends on that what the SEO company can do all the tasks on regular basis or not, So that your keywords rank. Firstly you can update content on daily basis. But I would suggest to you that your website no. 1 would be good for you. Sometimes your website keywords would be down then after sometimes it would be on the top of the Google.

Maybe after 10 years.....it's time to toss in the towel.

    Close down.

    Time has passed you by.

Anyone who gives you any other answer...is nuts.

You cannot seriously come here and expect any other answer.

What are you going to do? Fire everyone then hire the folks here?

Because you have not kept up with the times?

Add a prefix to your address (Suite 2 A, 15 Smith Street), and get a burner phone for the contact number. Put the new site on different hosting and have a totally different look and feel.
