I want to rank my website in top 20 results Google US & Canada Region?

Hello everyone,
I am working on a travel website. I am doing all the on-page and off-page SEO activities for my website. Some keywords are ranking in India region but not ranking in US and Canada region. How can I get rank of my selected keywords in United States region. Thank you in advance.

    You have to do bookmarking submission , Blog Directory Submission, Article Submission, Video Submission on US and Canadian sites. By doing this you will get more traffic from that countries also.

      No offense to this person but that's the LAST thing you need to do. Mass submissions like these are the fastest way to get your site penalized.


      What you should focus on is having quality content on your own site and then getting links from high authority sites in your niche. Guest posting is ideal for this. Some sites might accept your content for free, others will want you to pay for it.


      Focus on getting quality links from related sites. Not mass links from unrelated sites.

    Doesn't every site owner want that? Is your site good enough to rank above authority sites based in those countries?



    Where is your site hosted? What travel destinations do you feature? Is the text in fluent English? How old is the site and what is your ad budget?


    As stated above you can aim for more traffic from targeted regions - but top ranking will be extremely difficult due to authority sites in the travel category. Focus on traffic and conversion to sales - as those improve so will your standing in google.

    You must need to have quality contents in your site first. Then you need authority backlinks and guest posting. Again Web 2.0 baclinks are influencing ranks nowadays. So, you can try it also.

    1. Publish relevant content regularly. Target some key keywords/phrases for every new page you publish. Try thinking like the user landing on your website, and how would he search to land on your page. Make sure you bold, italicize your keywprds, and also make use of heading tags and other tags. D

    2. Update your content pieces on a regular basis.

    3. Optimize the metadata. (Description metadata, Keyword metadata, Title metadata)

    4. Try to create your site a link-worthy website. Make sure you have relevant links inside your content, instead of having "Click Here" links.

    5. Make optimum use of Alt Tags. They play a major role.

    6. Post in those specific countries' Classifieds websites and Web 2.0 websites.

    India
    USA
    Canada


    I think currently in the Google webmaster you have set up the location - India
    What about the rest 2? No option in the Google webmaster!


    What you have to do is you have to create sub directories
    .com/us/
    .com/ca/


    create posts in such a manner .com/US/Post1
    so on to target the various countries

    I don't believe that you implemented all the on page and off page seo in your site because you only do link building all day that's why you're still not ranking with your targeted regions like USA and Canada.

    It will always be challenging if you work under the travel industry. I find that there is some kind of contradiction.


    It may be simpler if you are in one place in a country, like Africa, and just wanted to go to another place within the same country. But the complication starts when you want to go from Point A to Point B. Ha, talking about classic examples.



    For instance, my website is about going to Africa. But I target people in India, those people who want to go to Africa. This means for both places, the geo-signals (in terms of SEO) should both be in place.



    So there is always a challenge.


    The way forward is to check those big players doing that, use tools to determine their strategy, and implement. But you also have to do something more, like offer something useful to your audience, which is not readily offered by the big players. Starting locally is a good start.

    You want your travel website to rank high in India and in the US and Canada region in this day and age. My advise to you is to create a website with content and keywords targeted at one of those regions, that way you'll get good result quickly.

    If your website tries to target every English speaking region of the world in this day and age, you'll lose out to other authority sites and highly targeted sites in search result.
