Hi guys,

I write the question after to search through the forum so I didn't find anything related.

I don't really know how to use the tag to avoid duplicate content issues on the next case:

- 5 different sites with the same content, same language but different domains and for different countries:

www.example1.co.za
www.exampletwo.hk
www.example3.co.uk
www.examplefour.com
www.example5.com

Should I use Hreflang in this case? As far I know hreflang is for same domain with different languages but it is also for this case?

Thank you and I hope someone can clarify it!

As you said same language and same content ,href is mainly used to searchers trying with their native language.so what i feel do redirect to one website and give proper landing page and then add relevant service or keywords to your website so that contries you can target by keyword with location using longtail keyword

      Hi!

      Thank you for your answer.

      I don't know if I explained well.

I can't redirect to one website because they are done for their target language and country and I'm also buying traffic from different sources.

So they are independent websites with the same content but for different countries.

      Thank you!

    Hello

Since you said same Terminology and same Articles, href is mainly Utilized to Individuals Looking Using their Indigenous language.so Exactly What I Believe do redirect to a Web Site and Provide Correct landing page then add relevant Keywords or Service into Your Site to Ensure that countries you can Aim by keyword location Utilizing Long-tail Key Word

      Hi!

As I said to LaxmiM, it can not be done because they are also used for paid traffic and this is how we need to keep it.

      Any idea then?

      Thank you!

    I find these posts laughable.

OP states he's got a BIG international project....

then does not know one thing about actually doing....a BIG international project.

    Here's the real answer.

You only need separate sites IF, and only IF, you will have a different website with different offerings to different countries. Nothing to do with language.

Amazon does not sell everything in every country....google is not the same search engine in every country...etc.

So, they need separate sites. They could even be in the same language.

Wikipedia, has the same stuff everywhere. They don't need a bunch of domains based all over the world.

Your BIG project is the same as wikipedia.

All you seem to be doing is changing the language.

Complete nonsense to get domains and hosting for that.

With translation, and english written and spoken all over....there is no need.

Google is not as stupid as some people's fantasies.

Well. Paul sorry to bother, master.

      Such a nice reaction man...

I didn't say the reason why there are different domains for each country, it is because exactly what you said, in every country the product is different.

      Thank you!

Product can't be different if content is the same

And why do you care about "duplicate content"?
        You have:
        Different sites
        Different product
        Different domains

You see, if you couldn't make sense what exactly you would like to achieve,
what makes you to believe people who have no ides what's on your mind or not
can come up with solutions for subject matter you haven't clearly defined.

Just the small product descriptions are different.

The rest of the content is the same.

And what about this (because I have all the cases):

            1. I have the case on what the sites are like I described at the beginning of the thread. Products are the same, content is the same, everything is just cloned with different domains for different countries.

            2. I also have the case you described. Different products, (just bullet points from products are different) body content (articles, homepage...) is the same, everything is just cloned with different domains for different countries.

Different domains for different countries seems to be not necessary as it requires a lot of effort to maintain.

If you have different products on all these websites, then just create unique descriptions to all of them. And if the contents are identical, it's the worst way to implement the multilanguage on your website.

hreflang is used only for multilanguage sites
