Can't Figure Out What Led To Drop In Valid Pages Under Coverage In Google Search Console.

Recently we saw a reduction in 30% traffic on 29th sep.
Our initial findings revealed that there was a problem with our robot.txt file (as reported in google search console) which we resolved.
However, we saw that there was a sudden reduction in valid pages under "coverage" from about 15k to 4k. (Please check the screenshot below)

Can someone please help on how to resolve this issue?
