Adding quality content, consistently.
As long as your on site SEO is done, and you have a decent amount of offsite, backlinks etc. Will adding quality content consistently eventually make you rank?
Or do you have to keep up off site SEO too?
#search engine optimization #consistent #content #quality
  • It has a very positive impact on your site if I add quality contents to your site. Quality content is must be needed for ranking a site and also off-page SEO. Google mainly judges the quality of the contents of a site. So, you have to add quality content constantly to your if you get a better response from Google.
  • First of all, you should focus on content.. If you have decent content that satisfies the user intent, then you will not need any backlinks.
People will automatically link to your site because of your great content.
And your On-page like Page load speed, anchor, keyword-density, internal-linking and media has to be decent enough, so focus on that too.

    • Good points, but people need to find you first, so if you're buried in the results below a ton of black hatters gaming Google, it's hard to get noticed.

  • Quality content is really important in SEO, yes it does. Unique content is what Google likes.
For example, we had this website that had more than 6000 words and it just took 3 months to bring it to the first page of google. With the right keywords and unique content, you will get better results.

  • It all depends on the keyword phrases you are targeting. If they are more obscure ones that other people are not targeting, you can definitely get on page one of the search results with content, alone. If you are targeting something with fierce competition (like almost anything in the SEO, porn or online gambling niches), it is highly unlikely that you will ever rank well without some very solid backlinks.

    • Exactly. Some low-volume keywords allow you to rank in top-10 in a couple of weeks, but most commercial ones require decent off-page support.

  • Is there any other way to have it?

Why not? Did you you hear something that is contradictory to establish
methods of keeping site's content up to date by spiking it with fresh data?

How is content in any way separated from SEO?

I can bet, my doctor, if I would start talking about something like that, would
ask me if I'm okay and suggest I take 2 Aspirins and call him in the morning...

  • we can say that content is the breath of the site, writing should be quality in the content. Google checks the quality of the content. if it found low quality or thin content it may possible that impose panda algorithm on your site.
which would decrease your ranking. content should be in the simple language, content should be in the simple language, which will be informative for users.
you must add your primary keywords in the content which spread your content.
the best content would help your site to get ranking in the Search engine.

  • Content is king for ranking a website. But you will get a unique organic visitor from Google according to your keyword search volume that means, popular search keyword=more visitor.

    Thanks
  • Google doesn't care if you add content consistently or not.

    • Depends on how appealing and very useful is the content and if it goes viral.
  • If you have a solid off-site SEO strategy, then yes, it would be worth pursuing it in addition to posting consistent quality content. But based on the trends, it seems that Google favors organic offsite links now than manufactured ones. So guest blogging, forums and social media should be part of your SEO strategy.
  • on page seo off page seo and sharing high quality content consistently you are more likely to have more website visitors stick around, view your pages which helps your ranking and increase the likely hood of making sales.
  • I think you gotta have a good balance between great content and bringing trafic.

You mentioned in a reply that you still need to get traffic, no matter how good your content is. And I agree with you. Amazing content is king, but still a king can't rule by himself.

Therefore you need to bring people to that amazing content, to have some promotions to spread the word around, some giveaways... You know, anything that put you on the map. Hey, even huge brands still work on marketing and attracting clients. Because you still have to do it to grow what you have beyond the momentum.

The idea is how you are going to promote what you have, not if you need to promote it. I think we always need to promote what we have in order to grow it.

Sure, there is the organic growth, but I am sure that even the most amazing viral content has its bad days. And not everyone work in niches were we can create viral posts.

I can't think of any successful business that doesn't do marketing somehow in someway. Even if they do it only by referrals or ads, they still do it. No one ever said "ok, from this day forward I can count on my popularity (Google) forever to bring me traffic".

So yea, I guess your point is that counting on great content to get trafic by itself it's an illusion, and I agree with it.

Ps: I know that your question is about ranking and I gave an answer that is orientated towards promotions, but I think it's fair to say that ranking these days is very connected to all the other methods of brand marketing. No longer are the days when we can simply rank in Google and that's it. We have to see pur blog as a business, as a brand, and promote it as such for higher rankings.
  • Hi Rob,

    I love Chiang Mai

Create quality content. Build meaningful connections with top bloggers in your niche. Connecting is the missing link many bloggers ignore.

Example; I connected with and befriended another Rob in Chiang Mai....my friend Rob Cubbon. He endorsed my eBook, goaded me to write my 2nd eBook, promotes me, inspires me...he amplifies my content and expands my success, all because I did the same for him.

    • Yes this is Very TRUE! I always tell this to my clients.
  • Nowadays on page optimization is very much necessary to get rank and visitors and in that quality content is also very much important.
  • Yeah, quality and unique content is much more helpful for the website SEO. This is the only way to get unique traffic for your webpage.
  • Consistent, quality content is a great start, yes. Also keep updating old posts and inter-link well. If your content is top-notch, it's only a matter of time before it starts getting shared (building backlinks automatically the 'white hat' way).

It takes a while to pick up and makes most people frustrated. But as long as you don't give up and keep at it, you're sure to boost your own rankings eventually.

Be sure that users can share your content (calls to action with share buttons).

Be careful with HOW and WHERE you build backlinks from, as it can mess up all your hard work if not done right and get you penalized. But helpful, valuable content takes care of it's own off-page SEO in time.

    All the best,
    Ettienne
  • High-quality content matters a lot but in the end, off-page SEO is all about ranking. to improve your SEO you need to focus on off page SEO strategies such as
    link building
    commenting
    guest posts
    sm bookmarking
  • Adding consistently quality doesn't help you to rank higher if you don't promote your content effectively. You have to be prepare your content marketing plan after you write the quality content.
  • Well quality content is a must but you should try to write articles more than 1000 words and with appropriate keyword density.
  • Hey,
Its very good impact on your website to increase your website traffic and keywords rank on Google first page. But you must focus on off-page activities SEO which is also helpful for your site. Update your content on daily basis.
  • Its good that you're publishing quality content on a regular basis. Be patient fora a while because if the content os really good it'll start ranking well enough. and you'll be getting organic links too. Refrain from buying links at all costs.
When it comes to pff page SEO, that is surely needed and won't hurt if you do.
It should involve doing a mixture of Guest Blogging, Forums and Social Media.
  • Yes content is king, but you need queen as well to maintain the state. When you are done optimizing content, take a break and use link building strategies.
  • Both should be considered.
It's important to do on page as well off page SEO.
  • Good quality content is the king in SEO, its true, if you add high ranking keywords in the content so it's would prove a boon for your site, keywords help to bring more and more visitors. so focus on it also, know the intent of users that what his want.
Backlinks used for ranking but if you have the best content with high ranking keywords you don't need backlinks you will get visitors on your site widely.
use images in the content which can attract user easily and understand your intent. after completed content, you should share your content in the social media and other.
  • Well its a very important factor if not the most important but i thing you should not rely only on qulity content if you dont have a ton of patience
  • Quality content never hurts. Publishing it consistently is a huge benefit too.

But I would never personally assume that off-site SEO you've done will be enough. If your space is competitors, everyone will be trying to up their SEO game. So you want to keep pace with that.

I think the best strategy is producing quality content consistently, while ALSO maintaining off-site efforts. The best is when you can leverage your current content for offsite SEO as well.
