Question about sponsored posts (linking out to two clients from the same article)

I make more money selling links on my pages than anything else.

Google does not penalize for paid links. Laughable, as their whole empire is based on....paid links.

Google does not know a paid link from a hole in the wall anyway, unless you tell them it is.

What's laughable, is loony people keep talking about how bad paid links are, then claim that you need some outbound links on your pages to other sites to look, um, natural.

Yeah. Right. Like I'm going to give free link space and advertising to another site for free.
Somehow, giving free advertising and link space to, oh say wikipedia, usatoday, or the like, is perfectly acceptable. Fat chance on my end.

It's not paid links that's the problem, is the fact that your page spams them.

First, don't put any text on your page asking people to buy a link.

Second, make the link only on that page, not sitewide.

Third, and most important, is put it in context of the article.

If smack dab in the middle of an article on frozen toys, you put a link with text that says, click here for information on student loan consolidation, then you have only yourself to blame for google thinking your article is junk and spam.

Nofollow is a dead issue in 2018 for links on your page. Nofollow has morphed into something else.

In fact, what is no follow for? To signal possible spam? You nofollow a link...google thinks hmmm, what the frick is untrusted about this link? And why would your page link with an untrusted link?

It's not paid links, it's being stupid and spamming junk.

It won't be a much issue if it related to the content. if relevancy is not there then you might face a penalty if you're just spamming. Google is smart enough these days.

I wouldn't do it. You are creating a footprint that looks suspicious.

In my linkbuilding agency, we don't think this is a problem. We even have clients joining (even when they are competitors to each other) to buy expensive links sometimes. As long as you don't backlink the same clients all the time, that's fine. I would risk linking same clients all the time though...

To place link of two clients in one article is ok but don't do in all articles. You can do it once in a month but for that content should be relevant to both clients as well as link will not look promotional.

I'm going to add to the general consensus here. Google really isn't going to know the difference. It'll just look like two outbound links in the article, and there's nothing suspicious about that. Just go with it.

My only question is: why are the two clients OK with that? Do you lower the price, or are you offering two link spots and whoever pays gets them? I'm curious about that, but otherwise it'll just look like two natural links, which is perfectly OK in my opinion.

There's no harm giving links multiple links to posts. All the big site author does this like Forbes, entrepreneur, and other authority sites.

If your page has multiple links and all of them follow same pattern then its okay but if you are favoring some and not all then that could trigger google but I doubt they will get a penalty unless the website linking to them is good and does not has spam value.

Its ok but this is not a right way to post any article. Because clients are different and also his websites also belongs to different category.

Googles algorithm is smart enough to pick up PBNs so its algorithm could flag what you are doing as unnatural and penalize you. But if its done moderately dont worry.
