Would this SEO strategy still work in 2019?

Its been a long time since I was involved in web and seo.
In the old days it seems if you had the best most relevant name was at top.
Is this still true? If I registered productname.com we built a little page around just that but directed everyone to our main money site? Would that help? It's like a feeder site.

    • There are more multiple ways to do that. But first you must identify that you're offering to your followers and your uniqueness. When you know this then you try to offer more quality to them. Do free give aways, in exchange for likes, tags and following.
Also comment on the biggest players posts on your niche, like and repost their contents and generally engage your existing followers on a regular basis.

Don't expect magic, just constantly and consistently do th above and with time you will see results.

      Wish you best of luck!
  • Your domain name has nothing to do with how well you will rank, so no, that "strategy" will not work.
  • Yes of course This SEO strategy still work in 2019
  • Hey... it is a wrong approach. Better you follow the Google SEO guidelines otherwise, it may hurt you in the long run.

If you are trying to make Google and user fool, then you will never rank well in google.

The best thing you could do is optimise your article for SEO, write quality content, optimise for voice search and try to get mentions (instead of backlinks)
  • Its better to just focus on writing good articles and SEO optimising it. Quality counts but it takes time.
