What are the best pages to internal link?

This is a site with 160 evergreen blog posts of 1000-3000 words. I already have some internal links, as well as a widget that shows 3 related posts underneath.

My question: For internal links between blog posts, what are the most important pages to link from and to, and why?

For example, I have been adding internal links on high traffic posts to any related posts I can come up with, with the intention of keeping visitors on the site longer. Doing this on low traffic posts for this reason would have very little effect, due to the low traffic.

Many guides say that internal linking to a page boosts the target page SEO value or passes link juice from a high value page to others, but as with most SEO advice, that advice sounds outdated. I've read specifically that Google no longer counts internal links towards SEO value, as of one of the last major updates.

I've read that I should add links from old posts to the new one to "help Google index the page", but I already have a sitemap, and my posts are indexed very quickly.

Any other reason I should focus on another internal linking scheme, either immediately or whenever I create a new blog post?

When it comes to internal linking, this is what I do:

I try to link to my MONEY PAGE on my website from just about every page/post. Some people call this the resources page. IMO, this is the most important page on my website I want everyone to visit.

I link to the pages on my website that get the most traffic and views.

I make sure that every page on my website has at least 1 internal link pointing to it.

I make sure every important page on my website has at least 5-10 internal links pointing to it.

    I hope that helps.

      Why?

(I'm adding more text because asking why is too short a message for it to accept)

Could you share a source you've read it from?

Link all relevant pages/posts. As for the part about inter-linking not being an SEO factor, well that's just total BS.

As Ettienne said, link when it makes sense. Don't link just because you think you need more links pointing at a page.

Internal links are links that go from one page to a different page on the same domain. These links are useful for establishing site architecture and spreading link equity . We all want our top pages on top and the content on these pages are called cornerstone content. So almost all of your web pages link to the top pages to pass the link value to those pages. Also link top pages to other subpages which have related topics.
Adding links to category pages helps Google to understand the structure of your website and helps visitors to more easily navigate to related pages/content.

I link to my money aka eBook page - as Chuck does - via most posts, and then link generously to other pages, posts, etc. Be less concerned with specific pages and more focused on linking to related pages in natural, seamless fashion. Make it organic, not forced.

An internal link allows you to link to another section on the same web page, so it basically scrolls the page up or down to the desired location. Internal links are links that go from one page on a domain to a different page on the same domain. They are commonly used in main navigation.

Wikipedia is something that you should look for internal and external linking.
Best is to link to proper pages as required and do not use any plugins to do so since they can break the user experience by linking any word.

Internal linking with wikipedia? That doesn't sound like an internal link.

Mostly the home page will have many number of internal links due to header navigation and footer navigation. But there is a usage density limit for internal links in a web page. The number of internal links should not exceed more than 100 in home page and each internal links should be links to relevant page.
