How long did it take for you (days, months, or years!) to break the $100 Adsense barrier before G sent you the check?

Did you have difficulty breaching it? or was it easy for you?

Just need something to read guys for inspiration, for those in a dilemma whether to quit or not.. count me in on that, I think

  • It took me quite a long time until I figured out ways to drive traffic to my adsense pages. There's no reason to quit anything when it comes to marketing on the internet. You basically have to choose one thing at a time and master it. You'll never make any money bouncing all over the place. There is a strategy to everything you do on the net. You have to find it and put it to work for you.
  • Not sure because it was so long ago. I do remember at first just adding adSense to a site for the heck of it. Then when I saw some money, I added it to another. Still, I was doing like $10-$15 a month because I wasn't trying, serious, etc.

After I got paid, I started doing more and more. Since then it's been a nice monthly deposit into the bank account.

  • $20.36 for 3 years? how do you keep up with your website maintenance expenses?

I guess you do it for the love of maintaining a site.. i like it..
  • 18 months to be exact for me to accumulate $100 for the first time.

Hard work, perseverence and patience is the factor contributed on my first ever check.
  • When I first started about 4 years ago took me about 2 months... I still remember I got about 43 dollars first month next month broke the $100 dollar mark.... No need to quit adsense since it's one of the easy ways to make money online and simple as ABC... A. Find Keywords. B. Build unique content C. Build Links Via Articles or whatever methods..
  • Broke that barrier a couple months later, second month if i remember correctly.

And same year broke the 100/day mark. That's when things get really interesting.

  • Good day,

Nice question, it took me about 8 to 9 months before I reached the $100 barrier. It was not easy, but thankfully one or two of my sites started to bring in some cash.

Adsense is cool, I really like it. I hope to reached the $10 per day threshold soon - but I don't think that is going to be easy.
  • Took me three months, which seemed like forever. :-)
  • for the first 2 months, I got $400 but the rest, i got only $100 each month

    • I'm currently making about $90 a day from Adsense. I've been doing this for 2 years, but about a year and a half seriously. It took me about 6 months to get my first $100 paycheck, but that's because my first website sucked but I didn't want to give it up after working hard on it.

What I can suggest is, choose a niche that has lots of subniches, and be relentless at making content. My first site that did well (and still does) was just a blogger blog, but I did tons of keyword research and targeted each page at a different keyword phrase in the same niche. I posted 3 or 4 entries every day for about three months. So there are a few hundred pages on there all bringing in search traffic and it's a big site, just on a little blogger blog.

Don't get stuck in the trap of making a little bit of content and then waiting for the results before you make more. The results don't show up for weeks, so you have to forget about it and just keep attacking with more content no matter what happens from day to day. If you do that, you'll start getting these big bursts in the amount of money you make and it gets a lot of momentum.
