If someone has a bunch of niche sites running all with addon domains on a shared server hosting and each site has copyright with a link back in the footer section to the developers/designers main website in the Internet Marketing niche is this a good or bad thing regarding SEO?

This has been considered an SEO "no-no" for many years now. While I don't think you will get penalized, per se, I also don't think there is any SEO benefit to widespread footer links. https://www.seroundtable.com/google-...nks-19943.html

It's pretty obvious that they won't hurt you; otherwise, every shopping cart out there wouldn't be cramming a link to themselves in the footer of every website template that most people remove or at least nofollow. They probably aren't helping those shopping cart companies rank any better, either, but they put them there for marketing purposes more than anything.

If I understand the feedback concensis is not very good for SEO purposes but alright for advertising and brandawareness? If niche sites grow consider making footer links a no-follow link?

Its not always a very good quality link but if you have no issues revealing all your website and amount of link you will get then its all okay.

Also if the website do not have much authority or juice then it wont matter too much.

Yeah, you got that part right. If the links are no-follow links then they are just promotion.

And a bunch of sites linking you as the web developer will surely help you gain exposure.

If a site is transfers to a new owner and hosted somewhere else and the backlink is left in the footer does it not matter since hosted on a elsewhere regardless if suddenly the site starts generating traffic, link juice, or authority through the new site owner?

In that case it should pass link juice.
