I want to invest $1500 into PPC should it go to a Course or to Testing?

Hey Guys,

I want to invest about $1500 into PPC. I am torn if I should buy some of the great courses out there like Gaugher's PPC formula 2 or some membership courses or just take that money and invest it directly into PPC by starting some campaigns and test, test, test.

If anyone can offer some advice or opinions on what they would do in my situation would be greatly appreciated.

I would say "test tesst test"

Go around and ask marketers in forums etc.

That's the best way to learn really.

No, don't try to re-learn and re-invent the wheel by going at it from scratch.

Personally, I suggest Perry Marshall for AdWords training. His basic package will cost you about $49 now I think.

IMO, it's worth it's wait in gold for PPC beginners.

I look at it this way. Where is the greater risk?

    A) Spending $1500 in trial and error hoping that you will have learned what you need to know.

    B) Spending $xxx On a coaching program that usually comes with a money back guarantee that you will have learned what you need to know?

It all boils down to what is the cost of training? eg. If it is $100 then can you figure out this on your own by spending less than $100?

Otherwise spend the $100 on training. (Or whatever it is) Then spend the rest on campaigns now that you've figured it out.

If you can get cheap training then go for it otherwise I would suggest that you read Google's own notes for its certification program which dies go in depth. Also, read as much as you can.

As long as you keep your campaigns and ad groups all targetted, you can't really go too wrong. It will come with trial and error. After a while you'll pick it up.

    Good luck

    I appreciate the responses guys.

I know Gaugher's course is about $1200. I would really like to get into PPC-->CPA.

Maybe I will just start experimenting, set my limits, test, tweak, and see how that goes.

I wold also recommend picking up Perry Marshalls "Definitive Guide To Adwords". For $50.00 you learn all the basics of adwords, which will be enough to get you up and running. Once your profiable then start investing in the high end courses. Becuase I can guarantee that if you don't know what your doing and you try to test out PPC, your gonna blow through that $1,500 in no time.

All my experience is from testing and losing money, once you've lost a bit of money you'll be sure not to do that again, just TESTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, cant stress that enough, don't go spending money on PPC products that won't learn you anything.

If I could recommend any product, I'd go with PPC Coach.

you've already bought courses and you're a war room member... I don't think you need to waste any more money.

you're never going to make any money unless you jump off the fence and do it.

sitting around trying to find the perfect solution is never going to get you anywhere.

with a join date of Oct. 2006... well, you shouldn't have to be asking these questions.

ppc is simple just track and learn a bit of how to research.... here is a basic formula.... 1 percent conversion.... payout X> cpc X times 100.... example if payout is 20 dollars is that greater .10x100..... in this case yes.... so for ever 10 dollars you spend if you can make 1 percent of people buy you make 20... is this flawed... if you are on horrible keywords that cant convert at 1 percent.... then yes.... if you are on half decent ones you can get great price on you can make money then start capturing emails and try to break even up front and email to make a hugh profit... i personaly use the ppc to support the site while i seo it up on long tail keywords... but from that point on you do what you need good luck!!!! hit me up if you need some help

Don't blow your money by testing. $1500 can be flushed the toilet very quickly with PPC if you don't know what you are doing.

Def look into a course. I recommend PPC Classroom, it is incredible. They have a 10 day free trial which gives you access to all the courses you need. Dedicate yourself to this course then test whe you know what you are doing.
