How long does it take for Google to register a new title tag and meta description?

If they don't register it, do you keep rewording it until they do?
#search engine optimization #description #meta #tag #title
  • It depends. To ensure it gets crawled fast, you should fetch that URL through Google Search Console website.

  • It depends on How Frequently Web Spider is Crawling Your Website Page, Factors like Relevance, The Freshness of Content Affect The Google to Index the Web Page

Submit your website on search Engine Console will help you to Index web page
  • It depends on Google's crawler that you need to fetch that page in Google search consoles. Then Google's crawler shows it in the database by going to page and indexing it
  • If your site's content is unique and catchy then it may takes 1 or 2 days. sometimes it may take longer than a week, it's important to fetch that URL through webmaster tools after making any updates or changes

  • It's totally depends on Google's crawler that you need to fetch that page in Google search consoles.
  • It usually takes 2-3 days but I recommend you to perform some Off-page activities for the pages for which you have changed the Meta-Tag and it will definitely index your Meta to get the most profitable results.
  • It can take time from instant 1 minute to 12 hours also can you submit your web page in google search console or you can ping to google search.
  • really depends
just be sure after posting a new article or renewing the old one add it to a google webmaster tools so google crawler will know about you )
  • Ok, thanks, looks like everybody's on the same page here.

So, once I fetch the page through Google Search Console, what if Google doesn't use the Page Title / Meta Description I've written?

From what I've read, this information should invite users to click on the link w/out being too salesy.

I'm also not sure what the benefit is to writing unique Titles/Descriptions for each page if Google doesn't always use them.

  • Like others have said, it should just be a day or two max. Install Google Search Console, and fetch your changed pages manually. Normally once I do this they are updated within Google within an hour or two.
