Main folder should be pillar page or product page?

Hi,
I am relatively new to HubSpot's pillar cluster strategy.
As per the books,
"The pillar page is a specific page that will basically provide a broad overview of the topic. Cluster content refers to all of the specific blog posts that cover the pillar page topic"
Say if i have a comprehensive pillar page on content marketing, ideally, i should host it on "www.domain.com/content-marketing/" and place the cluster pages under "www.domain.com/content-marketing/content-marketing-examples.html" and interlink them all around.
But what about the product pages. Say if I also have a page that's targeted on content marketing software, how should i folder it to leverage benefits from the pillar clusters explained above?
Can it be "www.domain.com/content-marketing/content-marketing-software.html" or vice versa - should i have it in main folder level and move the guide inside the folder?
I want to know the best practices. Please let me know your thoughts.
