Ratio of no-follow to do-follow links don't matter. And links from forums and comments are basically no-follow so its not a mistake even if they are they probably passes no link juice. So, Google will just ignore them.

You have to build backlinks. Backlinks are the backbone of the SEO. Without backlinks you won't get high SERP's.

Either get organic backlinks by producing great content, or by guest posts. Another option is buying backlinks, but it may harm you if the seller creates poor links.

Another option is to create links yourself on authority sites, like profile links, web 2.0's, article submissions, etc.

I would not say this is fully correct since I am working on a website which has copied content from other sources and its getting good results at the moment and I hope it will keep growing like this for long.

Thanks for sharing your useful information for all the marketing experts. It will help to avoid spam linking strategy and keep everyone's backlinking process much stronger. I have also few tips such as:
    • Always find the niche website to get the backlink.
    • If you are providing services in the USA, then do the posting on US websites only.
    • For forum commenting find the niche forums according to your website services.

Moz and their shitty DA metric have nothing to do with the quality of a link. Their update affected nothing.

@mikefriedman is Moz and their DA metric nothing stand so why people like to build links on high DA sites? If Moz and their DA metric nothing stand so why most of the sites lost their DA?

Because most people don't know any better and have fallen for BS from link builders, Moz, and idiots on forums.

Their metrics are extremely inaccurate. Always have been.

But hell, if you are going to use one of their shitty metrics, PA would tell you a lot more about the strength of a link than DA ever will.

It is because MOZ is good at marketing itself.

@mikefriedman You may be right your words., You said DA & is nothing but most of the SEO experts share the articles & tips for how to increase DA & If is seriously nothing so why SEO experts do share such type of post.

Let's talk about Backlinko (Brain) he is SEO experts & he said "PA stands for "Page Authority" and DA stands for "Domain Authority". They're two metrics developed by Moz as alternatives to PageRank." but apart this he also shared steps to increase Domain Authority.

when an SEO expert is sharing tips to increase Domain Authority so it simply means DA stand for something & it does matter somewhere.

Both metrics can easily be manipulated. Just pick a domain, install WP with default lorem ipsum and start commenting on blogs like backlinko, neil patel and such where your comments can get approved easily now after some time you will find that your DA start going up without any value on your domain.

Anyone sharing an article about how to increase DA or PA is not doing so as an SEO expert. They are doing it as a content creator. They know people search for stupid crap like that. All they are after is clicks and views. They could care less about actually helping anyone to rank better.

ROTFLMAO! No SEO expert would tell you DA matters for anything, anywhere.

MOZ is full of BS to peddle junk like DA...which means nothing to google.

There is nothing natural about link building. You are breaking your last rule. Telling people not to fake it, but then telling people to do something so it looks natural..even though there's nothing natural about.

You can't tell people what to link to. They will link to whatever they want.

Recycled junk is common and loved by google.....for your perusal, wikipedia..... yeah. Like recycled has hurt them.

Social media links, which is what your whole post is on, links, is useless for SEO. Sure, you dang sure want to have an social presence, but that aint link building....

Google's empire is based on paid links. Tell google not to sell them anymore and see how far you get.

You are indeed faking it, but will never make it.

I have so stepping away from building links and focused only on building genuine bonds with top bloggers. Top bloggers keep growing my blog readership around the clock; plus I get links in from reputable sources. Win-win. Link building felt a bit manipulative to me; I rarely went that route. To each their own, though.

I never understood the idea of building links or the proper way of doing it. I have had success with guest blogging and coupon ads. It has brought the value of my site up.

The most common mistake is that people go for quantity, instead of quality. A large number of low-quality backlinks can be very counterproductive. And website authority can change over time, so once a good backlink can become bad. ( maybe because that website itself is overrun by bad and spammy backlinks). They should be checked from time to time using some of the tools that are available...
