The best book I would advise you to read is "The Art of SEO - Mastering Search Engine Optimization"
Author: Eric Enge, Stephan Spencer, Rand Fishkin

Rand Fishkin is the former co-founder of Moz.com

I would never buy a book on SEO. It takes about two years to get a book published and who knows how long to write it? SEO changes extremely fast, so many things that are in a book are long outdated by the time it hits the shelves.

Start with Brian Dean's Definitive Guide to SEO.

Forget books, try blogs. Backlinko, Moz are quite good ones.

Google publishes anything and everything you need to know.

Follow their seo blogs and read anything written by actual google employees.

If not, you will start trying to get DA, PA, and a whole bunch of other nonsense.
