Hi experts,

My question is

What is the technical difference between the Bounce Rate and Exit Rate?

How can i improve these both seeing the online marketing trend of 2019?

Thanks in advance

Yep. This is the kind of thread moderators should trash the moment it is posted.

There is a difference between being newbie friendly and newbie driven. This forum is newbie driven nowadays.

BR is in general how interested are people in your website (how much time they spend + how many pages they visit)

Improve: make your website more interesting, lower prices or more discounts, offer them something, or put an eye catching video on the front page.

ER is simple, its a value showing people are not interesting in your page, the bigger number the worst it performs.

Improve: make the same thing as with BR + add some additional "See more" articles or products to see on your website so poeple wont exit immediately.

btw this also hurts your SEO..

To decrease the bounce rate (keep visitors on your site longer), you should add content that will engage your website visitors. For example, videos have been shown to keep people from leaving your site quickly. Also, make sure that your page loads quickly, and that you use colors that will not make it difficult for visitors to read the text on your site.

Bounce Rate: the percentage of single-engagement sessions.

A bounce rate occurs whenever a user enters the page and subsequently exits without visiting another page on the website or interacting with any of the elements on the page.

Exit Rate: the percentage of exits on a page.

Exit rate, on the other hand, looks at the number of people who exit your website after landing on a page and compares it to the total number of views the page received.
