I have noticed this. when I shared my content in Medium dot com I lost my google ranking and only medium content was ranked in the google search page, before sharing that my article was ranked on the first page. But after sharing content with medium my article was disappeared in google search results page. Have you noticed this?

That just means the page at Medium was more authoritative than the page on your site. For most searches, Google doesn't like to show the exact same results, so they will often rank the version that is most authoritative and stick the other one in the supplemental SERPs.

  • Hmmm that's strange, Google usually keeps the original piece of content ranking, and puts any duplicates into the supplemental index. Was the article you shared on Medium an exact copy of what you had on your website?

This could simply mean that your website didn't have enough authority to be a clear example of the original content.

Being the first publishing it isn't enough if Google doesn't even notice your presence. What have you done to present your website as an authority?

Also, Medium is supposed to be a place where you write original content if I am not mistaken. What were you doing there copying your content?

No Google does not. They don't know or care which one is the original one. They rank the one that is most authoritative.

We publish only new articles which are not even ranking in sites like medium.
