Hello, i have a question. Recently i bought a domain from godaddy auction which is 23 years old and have DA 33 PA 32.

Before bidding i check out the domain on google using this query to make sure if pages of this website are showing or not (site:mydomain.com) only home page is indexed on google.

(domain was in golf niche I re-build and make this health niche website)

is this good?

Further i check the domain on archive web the domain was last active in 2015.

So now come to my question does google consider these type of domain as new or will sandboxed them if i try to rebuild them and rank for other niche keywords ?

Because its been a week i've been building linking to my domain sent several profile and social signals to my domain.

My post is indexed on google but not showing in any serp result when i try to check the rank for my desired keyword.

It sounds to me like more than anything, you need to learn what a real backlink is and get those for the site. If you can link to your own site from another site (whether that is blog comments, forum threads, Web 2.0, social bookmarks, social threads, etc.), they are absolutely worthless backlinks that aren't going to help your site rank.

If somebody else has to make a decision whether or not they want to link to your site/page, that is a REAL backlink and the only kind that has any type of real influence on SERPs these days.

      Hey Dave,

So just to clarify this for myself, a real back link that will help with SEO can only come from an established website that has DA linking to your site? That's my understanding of what you just said there and I just want to be sure it's accurate.

Bakclinks that come from platforms where you can sign up and link left and right, say forums, even if they are dofollow don't do much for you. Because they have no juice to pass to your pages, usually.

To have juice, they must have some good backlinks... They here means the pages where your links are coming from. What the homepage has and does is not relevant except in one case: it links to the page your link is coming from.

Long ago, I read about the power of backlinks. 1 link from 5000 pages with PR of 0 (brand new pages) was equal to 1 backlink from 1 page with a PR of 1. In other words, to get a PR of 1, you needed 5000 backlinks.

A page with a PR of 2 could get there from getting 1 link from 5000 pages that had a PR of 1 or from 25,000 pages that had a PR of 0.

A page got to have a PR of 3 if it got 1 backlink from 125.,000 pages with a PR of 0 or 1 backlink from 25,000 pages with a PR of 1 or 1 link from 5000 pages with a PR of 2.

My numbers are off, the real numbers were higher... but they should give you the idea that 1 link from a brand new page (like the kind you create when you create a profile or post something on some site that lets anyone create a page), has no value.

Well, I didn't mention DA at all because it is a best-guess mythical rating system that is not all that accurate and it is not used by any search engines.

What I said is that the other site has to make a decision to link to you. If you can put a link to your site on another site, yourself, it's worthless. Links have to be EARNED - you have to have something so great, another sites says "man, I need to send visitors away from my site to go check this out, it is so awesome!" Then, THEY create the link to your site.
