Same Content - Multiple Sites I Own

I currently run a job board website, with a few blog articles that rank well.

I want to launch another job board in a similar market, and I have articles that are relevant to both sites.

I would like to publish the same articles on both sites, without having to re-write it.

The problem is, how do I deal with getting penalized for duplicate content? Is there a way to post the identical content on my second site without getting penalized?

  • It seems that you want to spam your content in mulltiple sites just to rank? and its a no no!
I would suggest that you must focus on one website only to avoid duplication.

You are only creating more problems with multiple websites with same content.

    • No, not at all.... I want the same content on multiple sites because it is relevant to both audiences, but I don't want to affect the rankings of the first site....
  • From my experience duplicate content leads to stiff penalties. Not useful for SEO ranking.
  • There is no way to prevent penalty risk if you are going to do that as well as you will also face problems to rank your website.

  • Don't post exact the same. My suggestion is:

Post the articles on your main site. On the other site; post parts of the same article (with a link back) and put your (other) opinion under it. That way it is natural and you can work faster.
  • My brother don't even both doing it if one website doesn't get you what you want.

Then guess what a hundred websites won't just think about making the ones you have useful first.

Because i believe you've made all of them useless already by spamming each one of them.

Just take your time and delete all remaining one sorry to disappoint you.
  • It is not duplicate content if it is not in the same website.

What you want to do is syndicate your content.

Folks if the news media was penalized for publishing the same content over and over from a single source there would be no news being showed on Google except the originator.

Duplicate content is only penalized for the same website, look it up get it right and don't shoot yourself in the feet because you got it wrong.

What I would say about syndicating your content add some additional value if it is possible to the work you want to be seen.

  • I do not use the same content on more than one website. I advise you to avoid using the same content over more than one source.

If you want to use the same content for the audience of your second website, you can write an abbreviation of the article and publish it on your second website with a link to your first website with a caption read more.

    • There is no duplicate content penalty. However, if going for the same/similar keywords, Google will only rank the page on one site.
  • Soon enough Google will penalize your for publishing duplicate content even if your sites are registered on different domains.

Publishing duplicate content on multiple sites is not going to improve your rankings. You would be better off with one site and repurposing the content which will improve your rankings.Do not try and game the system .

  • You should avoid this. Duplicate content is a serious thing Google deals with. You should create more content.
  • Yes, you post this content on different site with a little bit change but you have to give the reference link. But this is black hat. If this providing you with the benefit at a time same if google algorithm considers this will leave a bad impact. So try to avoid this other's it's your choice.
