so as soon as my website is ready i was going to go hard on getting quality backlinks. like a couple hundred a day. im just now reading that some people end up in the google sandbox for getting too many links too quickly.

how many links is too many and in what time line ? is there any way to avoid sandboxing while still maximizing quick backlinks?

It is the subject of much debate. No one knows( unless you're Matt Cutts) for sure if the Google sandbox exists.

If you are getting them manually you will have no problem.
Generate 10K or so in a day and you may get looked at.

      Hi Matrix,

The so called "Sandbox Effect" applies equally to all new web page content on all websites. There is nothing you can do to cause it and there is nothing you can do to avoid, so there is no reason to spend a single moment worrying about it.

The faster you generate backlinks the quicker your pages will get noticed. If you are using techniques that might be considered spamming, your backlinks are likely to be removed by webmasters or discounted by the search engine spamdexing teams.

The paradox of spamming backlinks is that you need to "fly under the radar", but the purpose of those same backlinks is to get noticed. It must be very frustrating for anyone that has chosen that strategy.

Build quality backlinks, and you not only get noticed, you get targeted traffic from those same backlinks. A quality backlink is one placed on a page that has visitors that are likely to find that link is to a page that contains content that is both useful and topically relevant.
