Hi Warriors !!
I confess i am an SEO Noob, so i have a question to ask.
How google treats traffic that is generated from social media to a domain1 that has redirect link to another domain2.
Will it be still considered as Social Media Traffic on Domain 2 ?
Please guide.

  • Hello David,

I am also starting out in SEO but I know a little bit about this. This is 301 redirect.
Yes, Google will treat you same on the redirected page however, it will take some time for spider and bots to crawl through new page. You will also have equity of your back links and social media traffic but the results in analytics will be shown after a period of time.
PS: Make sure that redirected page should not be non-indexable or have robot.txt file

    • So in a nut shell, it recognises the original page right?

    • Hi,

Thanks for your reply. To be more clear, google will consider it as traffic from domain 1 to domain 2. Right ?
  • No.
I guess only social media will not help you to generate traffic on your domain.
But yes some SEO techniques will help you in this from various platforms such as blogging, bookmarking n sharing your content to a different source. Nowadays, SEO press release submission is very helpful in this purpose. I personally have tried this for my website and get a great result. Just like others I also look for various ticks n taks for generating traffic on my site and then i use this pressreleasepower.com site which helps my website boost with great lead. Social Media at some point will not help that much to generate traffic. So look for this seo technique for your site.
Thank You and I hope this will help you.

  • Using long tail hashtags to separate yourself from the crowd because your post will stay on top longer compare to a 500K hashtag which leads to more reach.I've double.
