ccTLD vs. gTLD - Which strategy is better for SEO?

Hello everyone,

I haven't found anything specific about this topic here yet.

My questions is about a medium sized (B2B) company with several country-specific top-level domains like .fr, .de and so on.

Do you think it is wise to move these ccTLDs to one generic top-level domain e.g. .com with language subfolders to improve the link equity? What are the pros and cons?

If a user or company provide services only in a single country then ccTLD is a good option but if target location is international then gTLD is the best option.

One main TLD and links to sites translated to provide access to different languages.

    Why?
Keeping sites in one nest let G. grab them all at once instead of chasing G. bots and over.
