Hi guys, a few weeks back I published a unique blog post (2200 words) on my blog.

But I noticed google keeps indexing thin pages on my blog like contact us, test page etc but won't index my content-rich blog post.

Further today I noticed google has put the blog post url in Discovered - currently not indexed category.

Can anybody help me out here?

    Are you 100% certain the the blog post is unique? Did you write it yourself, or did you buy it? I ask because Google will place duplicate content in its supplemental index.

      Google indexed it.

      The contact us page is not thin.
      Think about it: it's got original, useful info.

      You just do not like what Google thinks of it.

      Thin, by the way, has nothing to do with length. It has to do with info, and indexing is not the same as ranking.

      Want your content to rank, SEO your ass off.

      SEO is... That would take too long, and there are plenty if good guides on them webs.

    Do you have Search console for that site? If so, Inspect that blog post URL there and request indexing. If any error with indexing exists, you will get answer straight from google why that is the case.
    On the other hand, make sure that your URL can be found by GoogleBot (or any other crawler). Submit that URL in Sitemap and link that page from other pages.

    Good luck!

    If you are talking about the blog in the site in your signature, then both of your two most recent blog posts are indexed in Google.

    First, check your content is it worthy enough or not. Google always index relevant and useful content. Content duplication could be the big reason that Google is not indexing your post. Make sure your content is strong and not copied from any existing content then it could be index fast.

    Contact us page is not a thin content because Google considered it as one of the best information page of your website. Do your job to get noticed in the web and index your page not to rush Google.

    Google always index relevant and useful content. If your website not index by Google then your content maybe copied form other sites. Google Always Update website which have original content for the Rank First page on google. if you have original and unique content than all of your competitors, you are much more likely to outrank them in the long run.

    Sometimes, Google not index your content as they feel your content is duplicate. Make sure your content is unique & worthy.
    If you don't find the reason yet. So, do one thing inspect that blog post URL in Google Search Console and request indexing. If any issue with indexing you will get notification of the same.

    I suspect the post is highly plagiarised. It is not original and so google will not index it. Pull it down and try to check for plagiarism before you re-post it.

    hello, You need to work on the sitemaps. Google Webmaster clearly shows that the page is crawled and is not indeed. It simply means, crawlers are only using the old pages that are included in the sitemap. So, you need to create a fresh Sitemap.xml file and must replace it with the old one and resubmit it. Also if your website has more than 500 words then you need to look for good sources or paid sources to generate sitemap.

    So do it and enjoy ranking

    Google does not guarantee that all pages on your site will be crawled and indexed. If other pages like contact us are getting indexed by Google, the may be some reasons such as-
    1. Manual Actions - Check if Google has taken a manual action for this particular page. If yes, resolve the issue and submit it for re-consideration.
    2. Crawling Issues - Google needs to be able to find your page in order to crawl and index it. Make sure that your page is mentioned in the sitemap that your submit to Google Search Console.
    3. Indexing Issues - Google finds it difficult to index the page if your site has a difficult design structure making to hard to crawl or may be Googlebot has received an error while crawling your site or simply you have set the policy that make it unable Google to crawl that page.
    Double check the issues, fix them and re-submit the page using Fetch as Google from GSC.

    If you know how search engine bots work, crawling and indexing will sound familiar to you. If not, let me explain.

    First of all, Google does not provide any guarantees or promises that they will crawl or index your website.

    You must keep maintaining your blog's content to enter into Google's awareness. Google has a limited amount of resources to crawl, index, and rank your site, and it has to treat each site differently with regards to information and popularity.

    These responses are all horseshit. Google does not care if the content is unique or not. They index duplicate content all of the time.

    Hi,

    First, check your article plagiarism score. If you article 100% free plagiarism then use Google webmaster URL Inspection tool check if they show any error or not and send a request to index your website. If still not index then uses some Ping tools. May this work for you.

    Thanks,

  • Sometimes, Google will not index you because they feel your content is not worthy enough. Some reasons for not indexing are: Internal content duplication. External content duplication

    The reason why your site's new post has not been indexed on Google is probably just because Googlebot, their web crawler, which finds your site, hasn't found it (even though sometimes there will be other reasons, but this method of getting the site indexed will tell you why if there are any other reasons)

    If you want to get your site indexed quickly and also get good tips on how to rank higher in search engines, then it is a good idea to use Google Search Console, which is the official tool to get your site indexed properly and can also suggest improvements. If there is another reason for your site not being indexed.

    It's not just you, many bloggers facing this problem because google has to make crawling less on a free subdomain. But still, you should try by google webmaster submission tactic. Simply use fetch as google bot option in webmaster tools for indexing your blog in Google. It takes less than 1 minute to get indexed.

    Yes, google is so much concerned with content that is not unique . If this is the case, it may lead to the post not being indexed. Also, the relevance of the content to your website must be considered. If the blog is not relevant then expect very little favours from google.

    Check your blog post, is there any plagiarism in the content. If your content is a bit plagiarised then Google will not index your post because Google needs only quality and genuine content. And if everything described above is okay with your post then you can submit the URL of your post for manual indexing in Google webmaster of the blog or website.

    Google for sure doesn't crawl all pages on the internet. Even if it's crawled, not all pages are indexed.

    This below is quoted of what Google Says to make sure to avoid as the best to get your site indexed:

    Specific guidelines

    Avoid the following techniques:

    * Automatically generated content
    * Participating in link schemes
    * Creating pages with little or no original content
    * Cloaking
    * Sneaky redirects
    * Hidden text or links
    * Doorway pages
    * Scraped content
    * Participating in affiliate programs without adding sufficient value
    * Loading pages with irrelevant keywords
    * Creating pages with malicious behavior, such as phishing or installing viruses, trojans, or other badware
    * Abusing structured data markup
    * Sending automated queries to Google

    Follow good practices like these:

    * Monitoring your site for hacking and removing hacked content as soon as it appears
    * Preventing and removing user-generated spam on your site
    * If your site violates one or more of these guidelines, then Google may take manual action against it. * Once you have remedied the problem, you can submit your site for reconsideration.
