Is it possible to add a second set of services to Google My Business?

Hey guys, I have 2 websites, one for pc repair which I had setup for GMB years ago. Now that I have to offer web design and SEO since pc repair jobs here in NY had been going downhill for years now, what should I do please for the Web Design/Seo services? Should I create another GMB separately for that?

I don't want to risk being penalized by google, would this be seen by google as fishy seeing two different websites with same location by same owner and info?

  • What's your second site is about? (I am assuming that its about web design)Why don't just declare the two sites as sister sites of one parent company?

  • 2nd site is about web design and SEO services. Sorry I am not understanding how to 'declare the two sites" in GMB, can you elaborate please?
  • If it is a separate business, you can... If it's not, you'll have issues.

You start another one, Google might think the existing one is dead, and close that one.

I'd have 2 addresses for them (I know, you're in the same building... Make one Suite 101 and the other one Suite #2). And be convincing that there are 2 addresses there.
  • @mikehende Make some changes in your address that will not necessarily effect your businesses but will definitely tell google that those are different businesses.

@dabk pointed out correctly. Change room no. or change floor no. or if they are in the same floor then name them east side or west side.

But if they are already separate businesses then just declare them sisters sites.

    • Again guys, how do I "declare them as sister sites"?
  • Do you know warrior forum has been bought by freelancer.com

So the freelancer is a sister site (or parent company if you would say) of this forum, right?

Now go to the homepage of warriorforum.com and look into the bottom of it, you will see a link of freelancer, and that's how you do it!!

    • Oh so that's more having a link to the 2nd site but will not allow me to optimize and run the 2nd site from GMB as the first. Only way is to do it the way the others here have stated, having to give a different address so it would be seen as 2 separate businesses.

  • What you basically need is separate NAP(Name, Address and Phone number) to list two businesses on Google My Business page. You can simply show TV repair and Web design/seo agency as two different businesses with minor changes in address and assigning a new contact number to 2nd business.
  • Hi Mikehende,

Yeah, you can add your second business in Google My Business. By using (Add new location) option in an existing listing. But it is not best practice if the business is not related to an existing business.

  • Yes, the second site should be seen as a sister to site and both from one parent company.
  • Yes, Give a different address(Change door number like that). Else give Alphabets near your door number
  • The best and safe option would be using a different address and phone number as you have different websites.
  • Google only allow one business listing per website account which means they will not tolerate multiple GMB listings in one account.
  • A lot of dumb answers in this thread.

As long as they are separate businesses, you are fine. Create two GMB accounts, one for each business. I would have two separate phone numbers too.
