Google analytics show 100 visits per day. Is it accurate? Why other sites show different stats?

It is seen Google analytics show lesser number of visitors as compared to other traffic estimators. For instance, Google analytics is showing 113 visitors per day and other sites show 450? Why that difference? How to rely and on whom? Please suggest as whole strategy depends on exact data.

    What are the "other sites"?

I imagine Google Analytics has a far more accurate picture of what is going on with your site than some other place that is only "estimating" your traffic.

Finally, I must admit that I become concerned when I see a question like this from a person whose signature says that they provide SEO services!

Other sites are like Siteprice and so on.. don't wish to name them as thread is not for promotion of anything.

Moreover, when you said you are more concerned... why so?? Learning is something that continues. Matters not even if you are a master, its good to clear your doubts instead of fooling customers. There are millions of things still not known to anyone.. Thanks anyways and Don't take it personal.. No hard feelings

How in the world would a site like Siteprice have any idea how many people actually visit your site? Do they have access to your site? No.

Dave's comment was spot on. It's concerning because this is extremely basic shit that anyone who is actually charging people for SEO should know. As is just about every question you have asked here recently.

If you are going to charge for something, you should have a basic understanding of what you are doing. You either don't, or you are just trying to get your post count up for some reason with these stupid questions.

I really miss the days when this place was actually moderated.

GA is the most accurate one. If you are not using any filter then you are getting only 113 visitors and not 450!!

Have you thought about asking the "certified team of SEO experts" linked to in your signature? Surely they can answer such a basic question.

I hope you realize that Google Analytics limited to GSE visits.
The best way to have complete picture of what is going on with your traffic is to use
root based programs such as AWStats or Webalizer.

Maybe not as long - but if you are going to work online - you need to learn some the basics for yourself. A simple search on the forum would answer many of the questions being asked.

Right, and specially questions about somewhat useless like Alexa's metrics.

Expectation for Google Analytics is less in terms of accuracy in data and it is proven unlike Piwik a self hosted system in which disect your traffic more accurately but you need to have a knowledge for programming language to code the dimensions in traffic.

  • Hi,
Google analytics give more accurate results because they use different metrics and their stats are much closer to exact results.

Google Analytics is most reliable tool. It always shows accurate traffic. So do not focus on other Traffic toolbars. They are not showing reliable data.
