Shortcodes and Tabbed plugins

Hi,

I wondered if having content within shortcode and content within different tabs negatively affected on-page SEO at all.

After researching these questions the general consensus is that

Shortcode: gets viewed as html and therefore the content gets indexed as would any other piece of content

Tabs: used to be seen as hidden parts to your page so the google bots would negatively index your content - but more recently google updated and changed its stance on tabs and it now indexes it as it would with any other piece of content

Could anyone offer any input to this? does anyone have any experience with these or any knowledge on the subject? just curious as I use both on my site.

thanks

Right click and view the source code. If you see the content there, Google sees it, as well. Those tabs have their own unique URL. Content in tabs should have as good a chance of being ranked as any other content.
