Is the Google Dance still a thing?

Many years ago when Noah was a boy we used to experience the Google dance
This was when adding links and general SEO to a site the SERP would jump erratically from good to even not found before eventually after a few weeks settling down.
Does this still happen? Is the Google Dance still a thing today?

    Yes still a thing today but it will not affect your keywords ranking. It can fluctuate the rankings but for a short time, after that the keywords get ranked on their actual position.
