Google Algorithm Update: January 2020 Core Update is Making Waves

A few days ago Google announced that it was releasing a broad update called the January 2020 Core Update: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-...ate-28832.html

Have your sites been effected by this update? What changes have you noticed? Has there been an increase or decrease in your traffic and rankings?

  • Slightly fluctuations in ranking & Traffic but not a major one........
  • Probably partial changes had already been made before, why not see big changes in my pages
  • Wow! Lots of webmasters are bleeding in their traffic again. I feel you. I am on a break now, but I still feel you guys. SEO is tedious and it takes time to ultimately feel its effects. And then here comes Google's tough love with their regular algorithm updates... Sad!

  • Google did say the update would take about two weeks to complete, so I'm going to give it time before I make any personal conclusion.



    Some friends did notice a small decrease in traffic and checked their Google Analytics (GA) to discover that their affected sites were linking to Blacklisted Domains that were not previously reported in their GA.
