Google's Algo is increasingly becoming more dynamic thanks to machine learning.

One thing pointing to this is their patent released last April, "Information Gain Scores."

Bill Slawski did a nice write-up for more information.

It seems to spell out an advantage to pages that offer information over and above other competing pages.

My tip: "Be the best answer" ... This may seem basic, but think about ways you can make your content be the best answer. Here's a few ideas:
  • Add more detail. Lists, case studies, step by steps.
  • Include comparison tables in your article: price, rating, etc...
  • Cite your sources and give real data.
  • Include things like FAQ schema if applicable.

Just a little tip.

That is always what you should have been doing, if not for Google, for the site visitor. The last thing you ever want to happen is for someone to leave your site to go find information elsewhere because you have not provided it. Give them all the answers, and nobody will ever need to leave your page/site.

That, I believe, is the true end-goal of all search engines. As bad as they may be at doing it, they always want to rank sites according to how well each one answers a query. The better they are at doing that, the more people will use their search engine. The more who use it, the more they can charge for ads.

Also, use of figures and bullets helps to improve on organization. It can add value to your articles
