if there's a main website and i want to rank its supages, then what strategy should i follow should i make more backlinks for homepage and fewer for subpages how it should work, it's basically a video downloading website and subpages are basically like a dailymotion or youtube downloader page, can somebody please suggest if i want to rank subpages like different downloader pages then should i make more backlinks to homepage and then few to subpages or what should be the ratio?

    Where do you want your traffic to go to? Just the home page? All of the pages? Some of the pages?

    You want to rank every page you can that you want organic search traffic to find. If they land on your home page you also want to have a good, simple, easy navigation for them to find the other pages you want visited. However, you don't want to count on a visitor automatically visiting other pages. Try to rank your inner pages also so the search engines will direct visitors there.

    There really is no "ratio" for backlinks. Get the best real backlinks you can for all of your most important pages until they are ranking well. There is no rule or special benefit that you have to have a certain amount of backlinks for your homepage in relation to your other pages.

    You want to make sure that everything your site have to offer is available
    to crawlers and exposed to algo regardless how many links there is as
    long critical content of your site is not neglected or restricted
