Pushing a Keyword Over The Wall (Page 2) Into Page 1: Suggestions?
- SEO |
This is for a local roofing company, and the keyword is; roofers + city
I've analyzed Page 1 and half the companies are those ugly infamous directories that we all love (or hate), such as HomeAdvisor, Yelp, HireAHelper, AngiesList, and Thumbtack... the remaining are local businesses.
I know that Ahrefs metrics don't mean a whole lot and that search engines don't really use them, but it's all I have for comparison. According to Ahrefs, my site is more authoritative and should have no problem competing with the remaining local businesses currently on Page 1.
I've done a ridiculous amount of OnPage over the last 3 months, improved speed... in fact, my site loads faster than most of those directories or local businesses - go figure! I've acquired some good links, added a nice video, and has great photos! It's a real 3 yr old local business (not a lead-gen, just FYI).
I'd love to hear what you guys do when pushing keywords over to Page 1. I'd love if you could share a few of your tactics or strategies that have worked for you.
