How to reduce or totally remove spam score of a website?

All us professionals don't know that "website whose spam score is high isn't ranking well in the search engine" because some of us have pages ranking high even though the website they're on has a high spam score.

Spam score is one of the way MOZ makes money. Has little to do with anything.

I am guessing you did not bother to look at how they determine the spam scores they give.

You should look into it.

Did you know that amazon.com is likely spammy, as per one of MOZ's spam factors? So yes yelp.com. Short domain names are likely spammy, the rule says.

  I put moz.com in MOZ.com's seo tool and, I'll be a monkey's ass if it did not say mo's spam score is 3%. not 1% (Seems 1% is the best you can hope: youtube.com and cnn.com and google.com get 1%.
  
  If Google.com comes up as being spammy at all... does that mean the moz spam score is flawed? Or maybe their definition of spam is different than mine?

It's not just MOZ. Many provides 'spam score' or 'safe score'.

But!!!!!

Couldn't care less about them.

We have to completely avoid making links for your website which are poor in quality.
Some people make many links in only one day, it is also very wrong to do this because spam rates also increase in this way.
If we want to reduce the spam score of our blog or website, then we will have to find low quality and spammy links that are linked to your site and should be disawoved by creating a list of such links.

They best to reduce spam score for your website is by putting fresh content on your website and disavow(to know more How to Use Google's Disavow Tool Correctly ) the bad or irrelevant links from your website. After removing bad links try to get quality links for your website. which will help to reduce your spam score.

Why?

One of the criteria is the length of the url, another one is the presence of favicons, Moz uses a bunch of similar things to come up with their score. Fresh anything is not one of the criteria.

If there are any extreme low-quality backlinks on a website, then the spam score is also raised.

If you want to reduce the spam score of the website, then you need to determine low quality and spammy links that are linked to your website and also disavowed by making a list of such links.

The spam score is mainly generated due to creating relevant backlinks and duplicate content issues. Though the spam score given by MOZ is not significant.

You can also reduce the spam score by optimising your website content. Making sure it is not a keyword-stuffed piece is a top priority. Moreover, you must check that the backlinks are not spam websites. Also, check your website's backlink, if you get any irrelevant links you can collect those links and send a request to Google to DISAVOW those backlinks to increase your trust score.

Do something if you literally want to reduce spam score just remove the bad backlinks you made and make sure your website has does not any flaws like HTML error and internal website issue. Do work on those things that are not appropriate to the user's point of view.

To reduce the spam score, you have to look after many different on-page SEO factors of the website.
The main factor is duplicate content. Make sure that you erase all the duplicate and spammy content from your website.
Check all the dead or broken links that are linked to/from your site. Then, disavow them.
These way you can reduce the spam score of your website.

Moz.com detects the spam score correctly. the lower the spam score the higher the website rank. The spam score should not be higher than 3%

To make your website spam-free, Firstly you should do backlink audit. You should check external links to your website and remove all backlinks that have low domain authority and has a spammy score. If the Score is between 11 to 20 then your website is at the danger stage. If the Score is 20+ then a high chance of the website getting blacklisted by Google.
