Hey folks,
Hope you all are doing well.
Let me know, how to reduce spam score or can we totally remove spam score to 0 of a website?
We all SEO professionals already knew that that website whose spam score is high isn't ranking well in the search engine. Bcoz spamming is not the right solution for ranking any website on the search engine organically.
Tell me what steps we can take to reduce the spam score from our website and what are the different ways you can suggest.
Hope I will get the right solution here?
Thanks and regards.

All us professionals don't know that "website whose spam score is high isn't ranking well in the search engine" because some of us have pages ranking high even though the website they're on has a high spam score.

Spam score is one of the way MOZ makes money. Has little to do with anything.

I am guessing you did not bother to look at how they determine the spam scores they give.

    You should look into it.

Did you know that amazon.com is likely spammy, as per one of MOZ's spam factors? So yes yelp.com. Short domain names are likely spammy, the rule says.

I put moz.com in MOZ.com's seo tool and, I'll be a monkey's ass if it did not say mo's spam score is 3%. not 1% (Seems 1% is the best you can hope: youtube.com and cnn.com and google.com get 1%.

If Google.com comes up as being spammy at all... does that mean the moz spam score is flawed? Or maybe their definition of spam is different than mine?

It's not just MOZ. Many provides 'spam score' or 'safe score'.

      But!!!!!

      Couldn't care less about them.

We have to completely avoid making links for your website which are poor in quality.
Some people make many links in only one day, it is also very wrong to do this because spam rates also increase in this way.
If we want to reduce the spam score of our blog or website, then we will have to find low quality and spammy links that are linked to your site and should be disawoved by creating a list of such links.
When you remove such bad backlinks from your blog or website, Moz algorithm will redefine the blog score by reducing the new spam score according to the quality of the link repeatedly the blog or website scans again. You must have completely removed the low-quality links from your domain.
It's a free and best tool developed by Moz so you can analysis and check the spam score of your website.

Spam score can be reduced if we remove such bad links that are linked to your website. So the lower quality links will have been removed from your domain.

Can you please explain WTF content and using Google's disavow tool has to do with Moz's Spam Score?
Do you even know what the spam score is and how it is calculated?

      Why?

One of the criteria is the length of the url, another one is the presence of favicons, Moz uses a bunch of similar things to come up with their score. Fresh anything is not one of the criteria.

If there are any extreme low-quality backlinks on a website, then the spam score is also raised.

If you want to reduce the spam score of the website, then you need to determine low quality and spammy links that are linked to your website and also disavowed by making a list of such links.

The spam score is mainly generated due to creating relevant backlinks and duplicate content issues. Though the spam score given by MOZ is not significant.

You can also reduce the spam score by optimising your website content. Making sure it is not a keyword-stuffed piece is a top priority. Moreover, you must check that the backlinks are not spam websites. Also, check your website's backlink, if you get any irrelevant links you can collect those links and send a request to Google to DISAVOW those backlinks to increase your trust score.

Do something if you literally want to reduce spam score just remove the bad backlinks you made and make sure your website has does not any flaws like HTML error and internal website issue. Do work on those things that are not appropriate to the user's point of view.

WHat a load of horse manure. Neither of you obviously have any clue how MOZ calculates the Spam Score. You should not be posting in forums on something you are so clueless about.

Moz.com detects the spam score correctly. the lower the spam score the higher the website rank. The spam score should not be higher than 3%

MOZ's Spam Score is NOT used by any search engine to rank sites in the search results.

To make your website spam-free, Firstly you should do backlink audit. You should check external links to your website and remove all backlinks that have low domain authority and has a spammy score. After removing all spammy external links, start to do quality backlinking for the website, and make backlinks on high domain authority websites. Repeat this process again and again. Till your website gets spam-free. You can use the webmaster tool to find external links also you can use tools like- ahref, SEMrush.

There are several factors that affect the spam score of the website. Try to eliminate these factors if your website has any.

    1. A Low number of a webpage's found on the website this is one the factor which is common on most of the spam website. Try to fix it, if your website does have less number of pages
    2. Domain name contain numerals can be the other factors which could impact the spam score of the website.
    3. The usage of HTTPS - Try to use a secure network for your website. HTTPS is often a good trust signal
    4. Do use relevant information on meta keyword and meta title to minimize the risk of spam on the website

The spam score tells the website quality. Spam score was developed by SEO and Software Company Moz. If the Spam score is within 1 to 10 then your website is at the smallest risk. If the Score is between 11 to 20 then your website is at the danger stage. If the Score is 20+ then a high chance of the website getting blacklisted by Google.

    How to Reduce Spam Score?

    1. Avoid getting backlinks from websites that have DA and PA minor than your website.
    2. Remove backlinks from Spam website (make a list of all the spam links and Disavow it from Google's search console)
    3. Use text rather than Image.
    4. Avoid Spam information in the email.
    5. Don't keep a long Subject link.
    6. Always keep the Unsubscribe choice in the email.
