Hello SEO Pros.

It's been a while I came to the community forum. Hope you all are doing well.

I am now facing a slight issue for my SEO Client. Let me give you a small exposure of my client.

My Client is an MNC Company where they are having different countries to market their products. This client now targeting into a specific country with a website. But the issue now I Am facing is I cannot rank my region website to top number 1. The same brand global website is ranking high.

So I recommend the client to use hreflang tag attributes. And told them to add these tags for all the targeted region.

For eg: If my client is targeting both France & Canada for my region website. I have added the hreflang FR & hreflang CA vice versa. But still, after some weeks, I checked in google by the brand name from my region (suppose France ). Still, my region website is not ranking at the top instead of the ranking my region website the US market website is showing up on the top.

Now what I Am facing is that I cannot rank my region website. Could you pros recommend any good idea to what should I look in the website to rank in my region?

Appreciate your help. This will be a magnificent case study too for young SEOs like me.

Requesting you to support me.

Thanks

It's very much possible G is spiting results based on your location.
For example if I want to get neutral SERP results, I'm using some
anonymizer warez to block G. from detecting my area thus to cater
    to my specific location.

What platform are you using to build the site? There are a few plugins that do this for you automatically and can help save a lot of time.

I would NOT specify which site they go to based on GPS location as your site will ask them for their location and people mistrust this, you could however ask them when they arrive. As for Google, you can split the site up like thisThis way you not only get google to split up the site but you cna also present translated pages to each country.

    Hope that helps

There is many confusion about what hreflang tags do and what they don't do. Hreflang tags will help you rank the proper version of your content. Ex: If you have two versions of your page, site.com/us/page-a and site.com/uk/page-a and Google is currently ranking site.com/us/page-a for a query on google.co.uk, hreflang tags will help site.com/uk/page-a rank in place of site.com/us/page-a.

Hreflang will not help you rank in another country. Ex: if site.com/us/page-a ranks #1 in google.com, implementing hreflang tags will not magically make site.com/uk/page-a rank #1 google.co.uk.

It's because G shows different results as per the location. It might show different site ranking positions in Australia and a different position in the USA or in India.

    Hey,

I agree hreflang tags are important html attribute for international targeting websites.

Ranking always depends upon the content & backlinks to it.
I recommend build quality content (revamp outdated). As you're targeting regional audience make sure you content in right language.
Build backlinks from relevant & authoritative website in that specific location & possible language.

    I hope i answered you're question.

if you have queries. let me know.
