2020 Backlinks Strategies Without Bleeding Money?

Hey, people of SEO, I am working on a client's site it basically is a consultancy site. I am assigned to perform OFF-SITE SEO but I am not quite sure what things are working in 2020. I need a pragmatic strategy so I won't waste time on those old school methods i.e profile links, web 2.0 e.t.c.

    If you want to boost ranking, then I will suggest you to use natural link building techniques like Guest Posting, Business Listing, Review posting and all. These are old but very effective techniques.

    By definition you are going to waste your time
    because 2020 will be over in just a few hours.

    Try year 2021 for better results.

    Reach out to various organizations in your niche and ask if you can send them a press release of the company you are working for. You update the site with fresh content and depending on how much traffic the site gets you might get some serious business. Maybe try to find a few big companies in your niche, or close to your niche if competition is an issue, and get a press release out their with a great article and the businesses info.

      So, what would be difference between strategies for 2020 or to 2019 or to 2021?
      You suggestion is not year specific cause it can be used year in year out.

    There are few backlink strategies in which you could improve your website ranking as well as the traffic. Business Listing, Guest Blog posting, Create & distribute Infographic, Broken link strategy. These off-page activities might sound old, but yet effective.
