What is the difference between article marketing and using a linkwheel?

If i decide to go with the whole linkwheel approach will I need to still utilize article marketing to promote my sites or does the linkwheel provide the auto pilot approach to getting to the top ten on Google?

    Article marketing is getting back links and traffic to your site using the article and the article also gets a lot of visitors.

    Linkwheel can be done to an article your submitted to article directory.

    Article directories are one of the properties you use to build backlinks.

      I hear in one forum that linkweel can get you de-indexed now, I don't know if it is just a rumour...and yes you can integrate them with articles, too.

        If that were true then I could just put a link wheel on my competitions websites and get them deindexed. So I doubt that's true.
