On my WP blog with a static home page and using a page for each targeted keyword,
why is it always the home page with its keyword that is featured for all listings of the other keywords/pages?

Thanks.

I get what you are saying.

It happens to me as well and I don't have a solid answer... I think it's, at least in my case...
    1. the index page has more authority then the post page
    2. the keyword is mentioned on the index page
Observation: My index page has around 2000 backlinks, the post pages have very few.

Solution: Start aiming some backlinks at individual post pages to boost up their authority.

Yes, you need a lot of backlinks to your inner page as well. I not only optimize and backlink to my home page, I do it for all the pages that I want to rank on page 1!

By doing what's stated above you'll have a good chance at showing a double listing instead of just one listing. Works for me and I like having two chances of getting my links hit.

There is a plugin for your to control which page to show. For the sitebar, you just need to add your blogroll, or simply use the text widget, add some html code in it.
