Use your time on other important things.

You can get lots of backlinks to your articles without spamming. Do social bookmarking in do follow sites, blogging, post comments in do follow blogs, post replies in do follow forums with signature linking back to your articles. Try to post your articles in ezine sites and link back properly (but don't over do that). These are all white hat techniques so no question about spamming.

Next build some back links. I would suggest using a mix of kkchoons / terry kyles / angelas links

Then create a rss feed off your public profile pages containing your links and submit that rss
