Google Search Console Confusion

I created a new site on October 25, 2021. So far, I have added five posts.

The first post was posted on October 25 and was initially indexed, and now it is not. In the Google search console, it's saying the post is Discovered - currently not indexed.

The second post, posted on October 27, says Submitted and indexed in Google Search Console. I doubled checked, and the post is, in fact, not indexed.

The third post, which was posted on November 2, is indexed.

The fourth post, posted on November 13, is currently saying Discovered - currently not indexed in Google Search Console.

My fifth post, which was posted on November 15, is currently indexed.

All the URLs for the posts have been requested for indexing through the Google Search Console.

I have a few questions for all of you...

1. Why would Google index and then deindex my first blog post?

2. Why is Google Search Console saying my post is Submitted and indexed when it's not?

3. Will Google eventually index all my posts? I spent a lot of time on them, so hopefully, they get indexed.

Thanks for the help...

Did you submit your site XML and site map on the google search console? If Google is saying your site is indexed it will get indexed but sometimes it does take time... You should keep working on unique content based on your niche.

Yes my sitemap was submitted. All my content is unique and much better than what is currently showing for my target keywords.

What about coverage status.. Are they included or excluded?

          Included:

In the Submitted and indexed category I have three posts listed.

          Excluded:

In the Discovered - currently not indexed category I have two posts listed. Apparently over time these posts should get indexed - please correct me if I'm wrong.

Google does not index everything that people publish. In fact, the last report I saw said that only 4% of published content is indexed by Google.

For reasons of their own, they decide what to index and what not to index (algorithms do this). If their algorithm is working the way they intend it to, they de-index pages that they consider of no value.

Most websites have many, many pages that are not indexed by Google. If anyone has a website where every single solitary page is indexed, it's probably a pretty small website.

Hopefully more of my posts get indexed. 2 out 5 is not really a good ratio.

At least its better than the 4% average you mentioned.

The content is unique and much better than what is currently showing in search so hopefully the posts do get indexed.

I'm still not sure why search console would say one of my posts is indexed when in fact it's not.

If you search for the url of your post in Google, does it show?

    If yes, you're indexed.

If it does not show when you search without quotation marks, it means you're not ranking.

Many people confuse indexing and ranking. Are you one of them?

If Google says it's discovered the post and you cannot find it, it's indexed but Google 'thinks' it's not worth showing.

Generally new site is facing such type of issue. Make sure to upload unique content, add video in articles, do proper inter link and after publishing share them on social media platform.

Then I will suggest to keep writing your content and keep them posting on your website and get some back links from high PA DA Websites. Gradually your content will get ranked.

My posts that ended up in the "Discovered - currently not indexed" category are slowly getting indexed and are starting to rank.

    Check the following things:
    1. Check your XML sitemap file, make sure you have all post webpage links that you want to index inside it.
    2. Check all webpages must have valid robots tag i.e, index, follow.
    3. Check all content that you have published. It should be relevant to the topic. Don't duplicate. Make sure before upload unique content, add video in articles, setup proper internal links, images. Avoid unwanted keyword stuffing.
    4. Don't try to change post URL slug. Just update content which is relevent to the topic.
