Best Backlinks For New Site

According to Google Search Console, my new site is ranking for a dozen or so keywords...

I don't really have much experience with backlinking, so I was wondering if someone could tell me what backlinks I should go after.

All my keywords that I'm targeting are low competition - KD between 0 and 1 according Ahrefs.

Thanks for the help...

And what type of backlinks would you recommend for a new site?

you can start with any vendors that you might be using their software or services on your site already. Then you can try any trade groups or member associations for whatever niche industry your site is, next you can see what kind of backlinks your competitors are linking to and see if any are applicable and reach out accordingly. Thanks and good luck!

      More points to consider:
Backlinks from related sites will bring visitors who are easier to convert into buyers, however

A backlink from BankRate.com's homepage will get you a bigger boost in rankings no matter what your site is about than tens of thousands upon tens of thousands of backlinks you can get from blog commenting or guest posts, for instance.

Even if it is about cooking, and of steel or growing your food inside your apartment.

Because, unlike guest posts, which are new pages with no power to pass, the homepage of BankRate.com has lots of power to pass to your page.

Make a proper road map for proper link building stretagy. Get start with creating proper keyword mapping for targeting keywords according to the targeting URL. Try to target low search volume keywords (3-4 keywords per webpage) at the begining. Don't need to follow advanced link building methods. Try to create backlinks on niche specific websites which are relevent to your business industry. Create tons of citation listings for expanding local SEO presence. Find relevant industry forum posting and post or reply on current trends, do guest post outreach if you can. And at the last, never do any spam link building.

Before making any backlinks, firstly check the "DA, PA and Spam Score". Creating a backlink on the site with a lower DA, PA and a higher SS can have a very negative impact on your websites ranking.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[11693016].message }}

      No. Just no.

DA, PA, and spam scores are not Google metrics.

Do you know that hotel.com or yelp.com big, successful sites though they are will never have a perfect spam score? Because they are too short. Really. You should look into DA, PA and spam score some or you will keep wasting resources.

Ideally you want to target the highest DA/PA sites you can for backlinks. However that may not always be feasible. If your site is new to your industry, it may take awhile to be taken seriously. Furthermore until your site is shown as a quality site other bigger sites or even other industry related sites may not eb willing to link to you.

Assuming your content is solid - backlinking should a focus of your marketing strategy. While high DA/PA sites are always ideal, keep in mind that as Google's AI continues to improve it more than likely is taking into consideration natural linking from a range of sources. Your largest sites out there have tons of links coming from a range of sources. It would be odd if they only have high DA/PA links. So while the smaller DA/PA site linking doesn't give you alot of individual Juice it does play its own role in making your linking look natural.

Last but least, adding your link to profiles on different platform sites, blogging sites (web 2.0 sites) etc. does help as well. It's an easy free (other than time spent) way to start getting links out there for google to start indexing. In the end backlinking is about both quality and to some extent - quantity.

Sites do not give you links, pages do.
If you get a link from a page on a big site which page has no backlinks you are getting next to 0 juice. On the other hand a link from a small site which page has a few good links will pass a good amount of juice.

Do not worry about DA and PA, worry about the backlinks to the page you are getting a link from.

New sites need authority to get ranked in google. For authority you need to submit your site on a high authority site above 90 DA and try to submit your site on your related niche sites. When your site will get some authority you can also use low DA Site for backlinks.

I will suggest you go with the High Authority Website and try to build a small community over there and grab a One Link to Your Website... If your competitive keywords have less than 40 kd then you have more chances to get ranked on those keywords.

Posting articles on high DA & PA sites are the best option for getting quality backlinks. Use the Moz tool for checking the quality score of any site. You also consider Guest posting and the quality of the content (blogs, infographics, video).

Nope. Not even close to being best.

Best would be to get links from pages that have a good number of good links themselves, regardless of DA, PA and all that.

And the quality score is not relevant.

Hotels.com is too short to not be considered spammy, according to MOZ.

Sometimes, look at the 20+ factors they use to come up with their spam score, you're going to have a good laugh.

Not to mention that Google doesn't take that or the DA and PA numbers into account.

Get a related keyword to your niche under 40 kd from high pa da websites and do social book marking of your website. repeat it on daily basis soon you will be on top of the pages on search console on those keywords.

  • When you go for backlink submission, then you should concentrate on off-page submission and you can go with*

    2) Submission of an Article

As your site is pretty new, and you got that stats for your current keywords, I would suggest that you rely on some more proven backlinking tactics, ie, ones that are suitable for beginners and that won't be such risky for you.

By some of these methods I mean following ones:

    - Writing and posting guest articles on sites similar to your niche that accept this kind of activity
    - Putting your links on forums, signatures and other places where users will be able to quickly get to your website
    - Fixing some broken links that you encounter while browsing the web
    - Using links through some infographics
    - List your business on some relevant directories that you manage to find for your industry

I would work at this for the start, and once you start making some progress you can move to some other tactics as well.

Backlinks are the most beneficial for your site or service. If your website is new, you have to increase the number of backlinks.

Below is the best Link building method for your new site:
    • Blog post
    • Forum posting
    • Newsletter
    • Social media links
    • Outreach
    • Guest post

Above are the useful way to get the authoritative backlinks for your new website. If you can generate the number of backlinks for your site or service, it will help you increase your site's ranking on SERP and help you get more profit.
