Dear All,

Recently I found out that my articles are not approved due to "Excessive Anchor Text", but I just have 2 links wiith 2 different keywords. I read through the guidelines from Ezine, but still not sure what is the problem! Can anyone can help?

Thanks!

Try to submit the article with just one anchor text. and the content you are submitting should not be anywhere else !

Does not make sense to me. You should send an email to them and see what the problem is.

Unfortunately, EZA not replying is par for the course. I am convinced that it is a upsell ploy to get folks to get their premium membership.

Yeah, as mentioned above; Ezine changed their policy again (big surprise) from 5 words to only 3 in the anchor text.

I have found in my experience that it really depends on the editor. One day I have an article with a 6 word anchor text phrase get approved, and the next day an article with a 4 letter anchor text does not get approved.

Depending on your patience, you can simply test the waters each day to see how anal the specific editors are at the time; IE submit a few with more than 3 letter anchor text, if they all get approved might want to focus on shorter anchor text articles till the next day.

Also, I find that using an "-" in between each word of the anchor text somehow allows them to get approved more often; (IE: orange-vintage-video-game-cartridges); not sure if it bypasses their software or what, but worth a try at least.

Anyway, I have been able to continue getting my long tailed keywords approved on a daily basis doing these few things. Who knows how long it will last, or even if my live articles will eventually get pulled out of the database when they tighten the noose down the road.

That's funny. Anyways you can try using short keywords and don't use them repeatedly.

Good advice from Slade K. We had the same problem with 4 letter keywords in the bio box. Try to hyphenate some of them that can be put together say shooting tips for hunters try shooting-tips for hunters or like Slade says hyphenate the whole keyword. Some of our 4 letter keywords slipped through others got rejected. Big Mama E-Zine is definitely entering her menopausal phase. We all know the up and down "mood swings" that follow!
