I know that many apply SEO to their static sites with no problem. But dynamic sites seem to be a different type of problem and was wondering if there are SEO techniques better suited for dynamic sites v.s. static sites.

There's no difference between static and dynamic site SEO.

Its just that in dynamic sites, your code (CMS, blog whatever) needs to do the on-page optimization for you.

Its not up to you, its up to the code to "self optimize" every page for you..

    Hope this helps

Agree! Fortunately wordpress has many plugins that turn it into SEO-friendly platform, and I use wordpress as my CMS and website builder.

I used to design static sites with XSitePro, but with wordpress now, I can do things a lot faster, and still remain very SEO-friendly.
