I learnt this tip in another thread, but when I run a query at Wikipedia article traffic statistics for the `Top' option, it always gives this data : Most viewed articles in 200808.

Is this the same result everyone else is getting for `Top' ?

(If I just type a keyword that aspect seems to be up to date. It's just the `Top' query that keeps on giving results for 2008 08).

Yes it looks like they are a bit behind for their top query.

I'm not sure how useful this is as their main sources of traffic are not internal but external as a result of search. Few people start searching in Wiki they just end up there.

Probably a better indicator of what pages on Wiki are ranking in Google and Yahoo. Might be good for trends.

For example if you search for Sarah Palin she is the #2 entry in Google right after Google News Feeds.
