Please let me know. What is Quora based on SEO terms, not for organic traffic? I and my colleagues discovered that after a lot of publications, answers, posts, backlinking from Quora is completely zero.

    Well, since all links on Quora are nofollow, it's no wonder all of your colleague's efforts are a "zero".

      The question is not about "nofollow" because lot of ranking sources can read nofollow links also and it is not bad for complete backlink mass, specially with keyword in text. The problem that all sources such as Ahref doesn't show Quora as linked site. So NO LINKS total

        Who cares if Ahrefs shows the link or not? That doesn't mean anything.

    At the very least, every time you want backlinks from a site, look at the outgoing Backlinko's already there.
    Yes, right-click on a link, choose View Source. Then look at the source. If you find the word "no follow" know that the SEO value of the link is 0. Every time this occurs. So, unless you can convince the site owners not to add the code: rel=nofollow to the link you are going to get, do not bother to get one for SEO.

      Thank you for answer, I know about "nofollow". Nofollow link with anchor text also make sence. I'm telling that finally after analyze it shows that there is no Quora as reffered domain at all.

      Nah. It's a waste of time for that too. Nobody is clicking to go visit your site when someone else has already posted the answer right there on Quora.

        View the forum in classic mode, quote the answer you are responding to, so people know who you are talking to.

        If you click on a link to your site in Quora and it takes you to the page you meant it to take you to, you have a valid link, no matter what Ahrefs and such find or do not find.

        Yes, there is. If the link takes you to the page you wanted, it is a sign you have a "complete" link; if it does not, you have your sign that the link is not "complete "

        And previously , I gave you the way to check whether it carries SEO juice.

        It is up to you to check your links work the way you expected, not to Quora.

    Hi Marco,

    Quora can improve SEO indirectly if you own a self-hosted blog. That's the rub. If you try to boost SEO for a static website it won't work. You may get some clicks to a business website but lose all SEO potential with static sites.

    As a direct medium, Quora yields no SEO benefits because all Quora links are No Follow.

    However, if you share detailed, helpful content on Quora and point readers to your blog via your profile, some Quora readers will:

    - visit your blog
    - increase your blog time spent onsite
    - click your internal links
    - link to your blog

    Each reader action can boost your SEO. Again, indirectly, though, and in conjunction with blogging.

    Quora can be real good platform to derive relevant traffic to your site. But, for that to happen to you need to make sure that you attend to the problem for the audience first and then market yourself over there.

    Quora is a place to gain and share knowledge. It's a platform to ask questions and connect with people who contribute unique insights and quality answers.

    If you build any link through Quora. You will get nofollow backlinks but you might generate a lot of traffic. Quora traffic can lead to a higher conversion rate and increased profits.

    But Quora is a gold mine for SEO keyword research. It is sort of like Reddit in this way - you can find the keywords that you didn't know.

    Hi,
    I don't agree with some of the SEO experts here saying Quora is "No follow" hence its not useful.
    FYI Wikipedia is also "No follow" , still google ranks it (at least for now, it will surely kill Wikipedia in near future)

    My personal experience with Quora or Maybe "Yahoo answers" for some old school SEO people.

    1. Google is killing Quora in SERP just as it did with Dmoz, yahoo answers
    2. This is apparent since they have started their own " People also asked" sections in SERP
    3. Quora for me works as direct traffic to website.
    4. I get some were around 80K organic views per month on my answers
    5. Consider Quora as a parallel Organic channel , rather then using Quora to rank on Google.

    Hope this helped.

    Quora is one of the best Question Answer forums with High DA & PA. You can use Quora to create backlinks. These backlinks are not dofollow, but these can definitely help you build reputation and showcase your expertise. The benefit is indirect but it can give you some business.

        What makes you think it's necessary?

        Yes, quora backlinks get counted by all the backlink counters, from ahrefs to Google console... Except they do not catch them all, and Google does not show all your backlinks on purpose.

        Why are you stuck at this?

        Quora backlinks are not good for SEO. If you establish yourself as a friendly authority on the subject, you'll get direct traffic from quora.

        If Google is not indexing your pages there are two possible types of reasons:
        you've asked it to (even if accidentally) to not index them
        you are producing pages of such low quality it does not want to (though, usually, it indexes without showing them in the SERP's).

          1. I'm stuck in this because this question I'm stuck in and this is my question. You can discuss it, comment it or ignore it. Moreover I have profile with more than 50 answers WITHOUT ANY COUNTED single link (even non-follow nowhere). So I though to get some real experience from people who are doing real SEO and ranking for their sources.
          2. Thank you for your answer.
          3. Yes, quora backlinks get counted by all the backlink counters, from ahrefs to Google console.. My experience is different. Can you verify with any proof? Is it your experience or you just think that it is like it?
          4. I received a lot ot of answers, meanwhile they are nearly the same style - traffic and that Quora gives "nofollow links".
          5. Maybe based on the experience my idea was to make the post to ignore Quora for SEO because big and big time wasting without any good result.

            " I'm stuck in this because this question I'm stuck in and this is my question."
            Not a good way to go about making money, in my opinion.

            "I have profile with more than 50 answers WITHOUT ANY COUNTED single link (even non-follow nowhere)" Did you create links to your site in any of the answers? If so, click on them. If they work, thery're there, and counted... Even if ahrefs or google console or any other such tool does not show them. Like I said, tools are not perfect and Google does not show you, on purpose, all the links to your site.

            "Can you verify with any proof? Is it your experience or you just think that it is like it?" Yes, I can verify with proof but will not as I do not have the time and energy to go into my console. It is my experience. It has happened to me.

            Here's a response from Quora: https://www.quora.com/I-cant-sleep-p...at-should-I-do (It's Abhishek Ghosh's answer I got the link from).

            Here's a text that's clickable from that response: 1 GABAA receptor.

            Here's what you see if you right-click on the link and choose to look at the source (notice the text I bolded, it's a nofollow link but, it is a link, it takes you there):
            1 </span><span class="q-inline" style="box-sizing: border-box;
            display: inline;"><a class="q-box qu-cursor--pointer
            qu-hover--textDecoration--underline Link___StyledBox-t2xg9c-0 dxHfBI"
            style="box-sizing: border-box; position: relative; border-radius:
            inherit; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; background:
            rgba(0, 0, 0, 0) none repeat scroll 0% 0%;" title="en.wikipedia.org"
            href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GABAA_receptor"
            target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">GABAA receptor</a><span class="q-inlineBlock" style="box-sizing: border-box; display: inline-block; width: 16px; height: 16px; flex-shrink: 0; line-height: 16px; margin-left: 2px;" width="16px" name="ExternalLink"><span class="CssComponent__CssInlineComponent-sc-1oskqb9-1 Icon___StyledCssInlineComponent-sc-11tmcw7-0 bXVJZn"><svg width="24" height="24" viewBox="0 0 24 24" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg">
            Giving this any more thought is wasting your time big time. The short of it is, you get backlinks from quora, they are nofollow. If you're not getting them, you are not creating them correctly.

            Here is a really simple and straight forward answer for you. If you are looking at trying to build links and/or traffic from Quora as one of your strategies for better optimizing your site, you are going to fail. It's not going to do a thing to help you.

            People are not going to click on your links. Do you want to know why? Because they went to Quora to find the answer. If you are going to make them click on a link to get the answer, they are just going to skip over your reply and read a response from someone else who is using Quora the way it was meant to be used.

            And if you do get clicks, it is not going to be enough to justify the time you spent answering questions.

            As for the backlinks, they are total garbage and extremely weak. They have no value.

            If there is anyone out there saying that Quora has value as a link source, they have no idea what they are talking about and I would stop listening to anything they have to say about SEO.

            Does that make things clearer for you?

    I think it depends on the type of Quora you are writing for and on the topic you are writing about.

    If you are writing for a general audience, you can use some keywords in the headline that people are likely to be searching for related to your topic, such as 'what is', 'are', 'is', 'are there', etc.

    If you are writing about something specific, such as a law or medical question, try to find related questions that people might be looking for related to your topic but aren't writing about yet, such as 'what does' or 'can I'. Then write an answer that provides a link between the two questions.

      None of that has anything to do with the SEO value of a quora link, the concern expressed in the first post.

      Have any thoughts about that (that do not ignore the thoughts expressed in the many posts after the first post and before yours)?

    You need to be able to accept answers....at least three experienced marketers have ANSWERED your question. What is there to 'study'?

    What is your definition of 'organic traffic'??? Something is being lost 'in translation' I'm afraid.

    Yes, I agree that the Quora link has no direct value for SEO but it can help you indirectly for SEO. If you get more traffic for your site, it will create value for your site, and maybe some of your visitors will stay more on your site and read your other posts and if they find it helpful, they will share this post with others and you will get more traffic and links also.

    Quora is good for traffic driving.
