Creating a new GMB page in a different city for same business (what's best practice?)

My client is a roofer and we are positioned great in our local map area where the biz is located.

However, he lives about 30 miles (3 cities away) so he wants me to create a new GMB listing and for the location have his home address. That way we become visible in that new area.

Can I use the same business name, website, and phone number but just use a different address (his home address?) Or do I need to change everything up? Meaning, slightly change the biz name, new phone number, and different website, say websitedotcom/newlocation

What is the best practice to accomplish this?

Having the same business name in multiple GMB's is not an issue. List the name exactly as it appears in the real business. But while choosing the phone number, keep in mind that the phone number should be related to that location because google prefer local phone numbers and addresses which are directly connected to location.

If your first GMB is verified then it gives an option to add upto 10 branches of the same business.

Oh wow, I didn't even think of that. Would you happen to know the benefits/cons of doing this? Here's just me thinking out loud.

#1. new branch from existing GMB listing
Pro:I feel like the review count would remain the same high review count at the original GMB.
Con: Since the location will only be about 30 miles away my rankings may suffer. Because it will still be in the same service area as the original location.

      #2 brand new business GMB,
Pro: I would think I would be able to receive better rankings this way as soon as I get the reviews up.
Con 1: I'd start out with 0 reviews.
con 2: it will cannibalize future reviews because the new reviews would be split between two GMB accounts.

If you want to be 100% sure you can do the following: once you are in your new location for business of once you are there on holidays - add new GMB listing.
In this case everything will be natural.
If someone visits your local business and Google consider you as a visitor or client - they can be asked to leave their review for exact location.
